Yamcha is so low he isn't even worth hating anymore.
Doesn't make it any less funny!
Yamcha is so low he isn't even worth hating anymore.
Goten has fans? Why? Kid is trash, nothing exciting about him. Now, Trunks on the other hand still has the potential to be as great as Future Trunks. Let them grow up, send Goten to the same place as Launch and let Trunks replace his whiny, bitchy dad. Goku, Gohan, Trunks and Piccolo is how it should be.
That doesn't mean he can't eventually turn awesome. Seeing Present Trunks at the same age as Future Trunks and contrasting their personalities would be really cool. I imagine him ending up as a bit like Vegeta was when he was younger and cockier. He definitely has battle potential, though, and it's not like he doesn't train on a regular basis. He will never be as great as Future Trunks. Future Trunks experienced a lot of shit that turned him that way. This trunks on the other hand is spoiled.
You're just asking for some really ironic tag at this point.
Good ol' Pooh Bear will be the real MVP coming up. I feel it in my bones. He's trained at 1 million times Earth gravity against Christopher Robin and the Hundred Acre Wood wildlife. He's proven he can bat away spirit bombs and make home runs in fractions of a second.
Pooh Bear and Robo/Gato will be the ones to beat. No matter how strong this hypothetical Super Saviour Gohan becomes, he'll never be Christopher Robin let alone Pooh. Hell, he wouldn't even be Rabbit.
So he's becoming Chaozu now?
You act like it was the character's fault Toriyama changed his mind at the last minute!
Also he's already stronger than Piccolo, where you been?
They really need to make the weaker characters get up to speed again, it's getting ridiculous. I mean at least have Piccolo somehow get somewhere in the same ballpark as the saiyans...he hasn't been relevant since the beginning of the cell saga.

They don't, Super has enough new characters. It's just the nature of the show older character will become less relevant
It's so weird that we are finally getting a Toriyama Dragon Ball story where he actually IS planning ahead.
If you are talking about the not planning ahead thing that was in reference to the original run of the manga.
I liked the episode.
But I don't like how they make it so obvious that Beerus is much stronger than Champa.... kind of makes it less interesting and less dangeorous situation... They should have present him as even o more powerful than Birisu.
I understand but there was something really compelling about the desperation of the z-fighters in the Vegeta/Frieza saga that is missing now. Now they are just trash and nothing is expected of them.
This is what I really want. After the great character designs of Beerus and Whis I looked forward to the Universe 6 warrior designs.... They look like @ss! :^/
I was also hoping for humans to make a come back. Was I the only one who was disappointed that 18 did not make the cut? Also Please bring back the Super Buu design. Fat Buu is boring to watch.
Also goku is a an irresponsible arse! He place Earth up for a wager just so that he can have some fun fights!!!

Does 18 even have the ability to get stronger? She's an android.
Also, I don't think that was Goku's call. Beerus makes that call about the bet. Goku could refuse to fight (hah yeah right), but that'd only worsen their chances of saving Earth.
Isn't she human now?
I'd imagine that she could get stronger.
No, Shenron could only remove the bomb inside her, not turn her human.
So... How did she...
Uhh.

She's a cyborg, so she has biological parts
Goku is not a traditional hero. He's not even a hero. Goku cares about two things above all else: food, and fighting. The Dub and even Original Anime made Goku more"heroic". Toriyama made it clear Goku isn't a hero. Also goku is a an irresponsible arse! He place Earth up for a wager just so that he can have some fun fights!!!

Does she have human ki? Have they ever made reference to anyone being able to sense her ki?She's a cyborg. She presumably could train like Kuririn and Tenshinhan to increase her human ki and get stronger but her gains would be just comparable to the human characters at best, in spite of starting at such a higher level.

Q4: Do modified-human types like Artificial Humans No. 17 and No. 18 get stronger if they train?
Since theyre human-based, of course they can become even stronger if they train.
In the case of modified-human types like No. 17 and No. 18, since theyre human-based they can become stronger if they train. By the way, though they dont need to eat, they do need to hydrate. Also, their cells deteriorate slowly, so they age slowly too.
Vegeta only hesitated for a few seconds, he's just as bad as Goku in a different way.Vegeta=the Hero, while Goku=The Big Guy. Vegeta cares about protecting the world, while Goku only wants to fight. Pretty nice evolution from the crazy arrogant bad guy.

Well even being weaker then Beerus would still make Champa a huge threat. Beerus is still leagues stronger then Goku and Vegeta. Champa would be a better match.
New Toriyama interview from the Super History Book translated: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/translations/dragon-ball-super-history-book-akira-toriyama-interview/
But there was a positive response to that one-shot, so it led to Dragon Ball. However, it ended up as an adventure story, rather based around fights like in a kung-fu movie
I liked adventure more, but it seemed at the time a road manga just wasnt what people wanted. The setting changes with each chapter. At first I thought itd be good to continue it for about a year, but it wasnt very popular.
After that, due to the Tenkaichi Budōkai the focus of the series shifted towards battles.
What happened was, it just kept getting less and less popular. Torishima-san was really on my case about it, saying nobody likes it! and mean stuff like that. (laughs) From the start I had thought in the back of my mind that since it was a shōnen manga it would be better received if I drew battles, but because Im perverse I kept sticking with Journey to the West.9 But he really did keep nagging me.
So you shifted towards battles.
Well, I got tired of him going on and on about the popularity polls all the time. (laughs) Though I was reluctant to do it, the series popularity did indeed start to pick up around the Tenkaichi Budōkai And despite my reluctance, it still felt pretty good. (laughs)
Then after that, you returned to the adventure format with the Red Ribbon Army.
I tried to fight it. (laughs) I had Arale-chan make an appearance, and made things comical, and it felt like a struggle. But in the end, I couldnt even satisfy myself, so I decided to bite the bullet and make it all about the fighting. Once that decision was out of the way, I felt a lot better.
Piccolo should be a top tier fighter. He is a good character and Warrior Nameks were in the same league as Saiyans, with power levels of around 3,000 for some random Nameks and Nail outperforming even Vegeta from the Sayian Saga. Piccolo fusing with Nail boosted his power to that of around 2nd form Frieza and merely merging with Kami rocketed Piccolo to above even a trained SSJ Goku.
He should've been gaining similar power increases to that of the SSJ, but in the end it's questionable if he's even that much better than a Cell Jr.
Hopefully him and Gohan show what happens when you count someone out when you shouldn't.
