A game that was actually designed on and for a touch screen. Awesome! I've played games like this at the bar and they are amazing fun. Where do I put my quarter, though?

Yea, sorry about the vertically aligned pics there, but it seemed like the thing to do at the time.

Anyway.....

First screens.

And: This is a sudoku game without numbers. I SWEAR I read a conversation about that somewhere this week.

The art may look great, but the action looks like somebody threw up on the DS screen...

But really, looking at this thread makes me want to buy so many game... Must learn more about that pirate battle game!

Yeah? I think it looks rather cool, personally. It's a card-based strategy game. Yeah, the units are small on the map, but that seems necessary given that the battlefields are really large and it looks like you could potentially have a huge number of them on there. Actually, those battlefield screens remind me a bit of Suikoden I and II's war sequences, just in terms of the style and overall visuals.

Oh, I'm not saying it doesn't look interesting, actually I will be looking at it. It'll be the first large scale RTS on the DS. And if they can have some kind of order come out of that, all the better. I just cringe at how confusing a battle will be. I would imagine you'll be focusing on the flags, but then why not just use Icons only? Then they could let you click on the battling icons to see a contextual battle going on in the second screen (like Advance wars DS, but more reflective of the real time battle. The big blob of soldiers just turns me off. But I am keeping an open mind.

Edit: Wait... Did you say cardbased strategy? Like Prince of Persia? Or will it be an RTS with card aspects?

Railroad Tycoon?

This has been out for a while now... bought it on a whim at Best Buy for $10. I was going to play it on the plane ride to Osaka, but the game does absolutely nothing to explain to you how to play it in-game, and as I didn't have the booklet with me, I ended up quitting after five minutes. So, I can't actually tell you if it is any good or not. *heh*
