Nope I don't play my DS as much as I used to so I ignored most of the stuff when it was first announced. All I knew before this thread was that it had a faster CPU, browser and a camera thingy :lol

Also sound being improved makes me very happy

Fair enough, but it's still annoying. Anyone can search through this thread and find the answers they're looking for. The list of new feature has been posted multiple times in this thread.

The DSi is pretty much everything I wanted in the next DS (Except Miis and its own message board...)

So happy I did'nt import. Its was a long wait but the English DSi is a month and ahalf away!

I pretty much am wanting all aspects of it. Especially DSiWare since I can now have more than 1 game at a time on the system.

hhmm..looking at the other thread it seems DSiWare is coming day 1 to AUS. Hopefully its the same for US.

Having a camera and a game system all in one is cool. I usually never carry my regaler camera anywhere unless I've planned to film videos for my youtube series.

System updates and the new Menu look FTW.

i don't think people realize how freaking important an online service for ds is.

disregard for a second all nintendo goodness like art syle's, etc, and focus on third parties: the ability to bypass the idiotic game-publishing food-chain will give small developers much more breathing room on the platform, which, let's be straight about it, is the master platform this generation, and as such is a bloody cut-throat place. devs like mekensleep won't have to do all that begging at some clueless publishers' doors just to be able to give us their gems. capiche?

Yeah, that's pretty much the big question. As a dev/pub, I'd have to be convinced pretty solidly that the DS can't handle my game or that DS market is too saturated to make a DSi-only card release at this point--and the latter case would be really hard to make as Nintendo hasn't really pushed DSi as its own platform yet.

With the DS situation third parties for the most part have been more reactive then proactive. If they seriously want to make big bucks on the new DSi platform, then they need to think about developing for the platform and build up their brand on the platform as soon as possible. If they don't then Nintendo will most likely take the lion's share once again.
