Dust: An Elysian Tail creator's new game is Never Stop Sneakin' (Switch)

I'm also assuming the gameplay is probably like the MGS1 version of "stealth" where it's better to keep moving and avoiding vision cones while slaughtering everything. Hopefully it is that with some of the stylish combat influence that Dust had going on. There isn't a whole lot out there like it.

Thanks everyone! I knew the style and aesthetics would be either a hit or miss for a lot of people, but that was also true of Dust. It's been fun to create something totally different though, and I hope those of you who pick it up enjoy it!

Right now it's debuting on Switch, but as proven with Dust I'm not married to any one platform. These things just take time with a core team of one.
Man, congrats! Textures are on point :D

Awww boy, already port beggars in here.....
Also, I love the style. Dust was off putting, I didn't like the style at all. This, on the other hand.

I like the concept, but the graphics are icky... especially coming after Dust. These PSX/N64 graphic throwbacks aren't appealing to the eye..but I don't like how any games from that era aged visually so maybe it's just a matter of taste. I'll still buy it tbh

This is definitely not what I expected after Dust, but it looks amazing in its own right. Hilarious, as well. I'll certainly be getting this.

I was gonna say that this looks terrible, but then I realized it's going for the MGS feel down to that freaking fake Snake Eater song. I'll keep an eye on this one.

its because Dust is basically Muramasa with furries, i really dont enjoyed Dust as much as i like to just because of the artstyle

Honestly I find the 'furry' talk around Dust pretty annoying..

Dust wasn't really any more 'furry' than any random old Disney movie with talking animal people.

Polygons aren't wobbly enough.
It looks kinda weird because it's half HD and half low res. Maybe they should have gone with one of those retro-3d shaders that make everything look fuzzy and jittery.

Otherwise it seems cool. Finally a game that makes fun of Kojimas wacky tropes.

While I'm not 100% sold on this yet, I fucking love that Humble Hearts second game is a completely different thing from Dust.

Dust was a fun game but the furry stuff made me uncomfortable :/

Did Zootopia make you feel uncomfortable? How about the average cereal box mascot? My avatar?

If talking animals make you feel uncomfortable you might want to have that looked at.

If you can't tell the difference between the Trix Rabbit and Dust's Deviant art deluxe characters you might want to get that looked at.

Not judging Dust, but let's be honest. The lineage of that style comes direct through the furry fetish school of art, not Carl Barks or Droopy Dog.

I'm turbo into this. I loved Dust despite the furry thing, and this looks to scratch a very specific PS1 era pixel art type of itch I've been having, so I am nothing but excited.

Since you've proven you know next to nothing about the fandom aside from the kinky stuff TV likes to exaggerate I'll leave you to your ignorance.

I thought Dust looked like Secret of Nimh, an American Tail, and Disney's Robin Hood. Are those considered furry fetish movies?

So I began watching the trailer and thought it looked terrible (Though after Dust I was expecting a similar art style)... by the end of it all I am pretty sure I will be getting this... looks fun!

I wouldn't consider any of them "fetish movies" but Robin Hood is considered to be the definitive furry film. A lot of the older fans got their fascination with anthropomorphism from it.

I recommend checking out Marvelous Miss Take on Steam. Did a wonderful job of replicating the MGS stealth experience while improving the formula with gadgets.

Good art style, good music and good MGS parody.

Not so sure about the gameplay, doesn't look super interesting. I was hoping for something more MGS-like.

I really like the style, but at the same time the game doesn't hit me... mmm... anyway I don't own a switch for now, so...

This game is either really cool or really lame.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Dust: An Elysian Tail" (apart from all the furry stuff, which isn't exactly an art style i'm very much into)

That looks great, I really liked Dust too, so will definitely pick it up if it's still Switch only by the time I get a Switch.

Bummer, from a gourgeous and unique 2d hd artstyle to an ugly ps1 3d style, i mean during the gameplay the game looks rather good(notice the "rather") but definitively forgettable and characterless outside cutscenes and references(something i'm honestly tired of).
C'mon, would you be happy if the next game from Cuphead developers would be a ps1 looking 3d game?
I'm really disappointed.

Can't say I like the visual style but it's a hell of a lot better than the furry fan art fever dream that was Dust.

there was nothing stealthy about the gameplay..i assume it's part of the joke?

well i don't like stalth anyway so it's a plus for me.

Not intrigued by the mgs parody thing since i'm not really a fan of mgs in general.

Incredible how the furry movement ruined what was years ago a perfectly viable artstyle...

Absolutely in until I read the words "procedural" and "infinitely replayable". So, are the stages going to be procedurally generated, a la Binding of Isaac? That would de-hype me quite a bit.

Please tell the helicopter is not a reference to the transphobic meme please
How would you even reach that conclusion? Sometimes it's true that you just see what you want to see in something.
