What AA options are available for PC?
On AMD at least there are non. Just on or off.

Oh I see. Can you force anything through other software?
A post-process one, nothing else. TXAA was supposed to be supported but it's nowhere to be seen.
I think heavy film grain + CA + PPAA make the game looks worse than it should.
I do wish there was a film grain option. Performance or not I would love it.
Well apparently having Nvidia DOF off saved you quite a bit of FPS too:
Weird, I was getting shit performance on my 4GB 670 even after a few restarts, but after another random restart my performance went through the roof and now I'm getting a decent 40-60 frames with the same settings.
Sounds similar to me. The game is performing great for me now and I have no clue as to why. I've even gone UP in view distance.
Had a similar experience, but I didn't restart the game just alt-tabbed out and then back in...really weird.Weird, I was getting shit performance on my 4GB 670 even after a few restarts, but after another random restart my performance went through the roof and now I'm getting a decent 40-60 frames with the same settings.
NiceFor those with 970 SLi, i also had issues with flickering / bad FPS
I seemed to of fixed most of these by doing the below
1. Setting dyinglightgame.exe in task manager priority to realtime (need to do this every time you launch the game)
2. Apply the reddit fix / SteamAppscommonDying LightDWData0.pak (Also found on page 12)
3. Using the below settings - at 1440p maintaining a good 90-120fps without issue

Kinda' weird. I'll be getting a nearly perfect 60fps with these settings, reload the game, and then everything feels slightly slow/jittery even though the counter is reading 60fps (w/ v-sync). Then I'll reload and it's smooth again. Not sure.
No idea why this worked, but here's what I did:
- Set my framerate cap to 60 in Rivatuner
- Forced v-sync on in Nvidia Control Panel
That's it. Will test more, but it feels as smooth as Mirror's Edge at the moment with the above settings (in quote). So strange.
edit: still working after quitting/restarting three times.
I guess you dont want to fiddle too much with it now, if you actually got the game running good without exactly knowing how.
But i was just wondering if you've found that both steps were crucial, framecap as well as vsync.

Hi guys,
We've been gettign a MASSIVE amount of feedback from you all - good work everyone.
With your feedback, we will be issuing a Patch.
Here's what we will be fixing:
- CPU Optimization
- Save game issues
- and more.
We will keep you updated on the progress.
Sorry, should've clarified. Simply forcing v-sync via Nvidia works about 99% of the time for me, but not in this case.
Only reason why this case is so peculiar is because both v-sync and rivatuner cap must be applied. Again, no idea why this works.
This is for people getting a solid 60fps (w/ v-sync), but still have that jittery feel.
*edited*
Simple reason: frametime.
When you cap the game at 60 with RivaTuner, as long as your frames stay at or above 60, you'll get a consistent frametime of 16.6 ms.
Even with vsync enabled, depending on the fps, the game still renders frames under or above 16.6 ms without a framerate cap. That's what some describe as "stutter," even when they're having zero performance issues.
I cap almost all of my games with RivaTuner, and as a general rule, I never use a game's built-in vsync, and instead force it in the control panel. For whatever reason, some in-game solutions can be bugged out.
Frametime is also partly responsible for the complaint that locking games to 30 fps on PC doesn't feel as smooth as on console. However, the reason most consoles feel smoother at 30, is that not only do they have a frame cap of 30 (giving a consistent 33.3 ms), but the vsync is also usually set to half refresh (30Hz). In most instances, you need both for it to feel "right."
Awesome explanation, appreciate it. Guess I'll keep capping my games w/ Rivatuner from now on. Never thought that was necessary.
Yup, and that CPU core balancing definitely improves performance. I'm pretty much done tinkering now. Buttery smooth 60fps with no drops/stuttering...so far. Single 970.
that CPU stuff worked wonder for me. Game is way way smoother now.
Yup, and that CPU core balancing definitely improves performance. I'm pretty much done tinkering now. Buttery smooth 60fps in calm areas, but dropping to around 45fps in huge zombie packs. Single 970.

I have a I5 2500K o'c dto 4.5 will this work for that CPU?

Is there any way to get rid of the stutter?

Wait for a patch? All of these "fixes" do nothing much. The game has to be patched by the developers.
I don't have the stutter but someone mentioned textures on medium fixed it for them (presuming you mean the camera turn one).
