i'd be happy with seeing the new slim (smaller, cooler running 360 with removed memory card slots and a 120Gb or over HDD) to replace the current arcade unit price of £159, I think thats real good value for money. Maybe have a £229 slim with built in wifi and 250Gb drive as an option.

Again wishful thinking :P but i'm not hyping myself up for anything until they announce it. Plan at home is to give my old brick to my young brother as he is starting to play my 360 more and more, replacing mine with a slim.

Perfect Dark 2

And Kameo 2.

Seriously though a new slim revision of the system a bigger announcement than Natal which MS already said it will be a re-launch of the system? I don't buy it.

If MS has indeed some really important games to show (for Natal and hopefully some traditional core titles) that would've been beyond awesome but if the big "secret" is just the official unveiling of a slim 360 (which to be honest sounds great with the wi-fi built in and 250HDD) this will be very disappointing IMO.

One thing is sure though, that this E3 will be very very interesting...:D

This news summary is not updated. :(

I'd be willing to help if I knew who could actually update it. A lot of games have already been announced.

Apparently MS has an even bigger announcement than Natal this year

I likes the sound of that. I still don't think Slim could show up, but I suppose it's possible.

Consider the rumor of the Xbox Slim as news. In fact, consider it a fact that the new model will have wi-fi inside (at last) and a 250hdd (99% sure abt this) .

Oh, and one of Natal's games is a... pet simulation :lol

Just to be clear are you saying this thing will show up at E3?

I might have missed it, but what stations are showing live broadcasts of the conferences this year? Checking the DVR, it doesn't appear that G4 is showing, at least, the Microsoft presentation when it is scheduled to go.

On Spike and Spike alone. The rest should be on G4.

He'd better hope so, for his sake.

Just to be clear did he really say that or was it more in that fact that 250GB slim will hit retail (sometime). Really that's why I'm asking because I'm not sure on that point.

Deepack said:
Indeed.

They seem to be a bit desperate to me.

Eh MS hasn't really announced anything outside of Gears 3 leading up to E3 so they have a lot to live up to. Desperate not really, but if it's all show and no pony then yea.

He needs to clarify.

Remember guys the DS dev kit was an GBA and an SP stuck together with a cube pad hanging off, this dev model might just be for early game development using some sort of edited DS frame to hold the pieces in.

and where is the "3D stick" ?
Same place it's on the iphone.

See what I did there?

Maybe I'm alone but I don't want the 3DS to actually resemble the DS. I want it to be NEW both internally and externally. Give me the clam shell design and we know it will have 2 screens but do something new with that.

If by that you mean "don't just be 3D + multitouch", then I'm on board with you! I so hope this is like the DS where we know about the most obvious feature (visually) by the name of the system, but there's actually more to it.

Feature wise I'm expecting good things but the look of the device is what I'm most curious about. The OG fat DS was hideous in comparison to the Wii and DS Lite/DSi. I'm hoping that Nintendo has learned from their most recent designs and have applied it to the first version of this 3DS.

I thought this thread would be at a billion pages now or something.

Geeze guys, only 4 days until we see what the 3DS looks like...

Mehh for me personally. I'm more old fashioned. Just give me a normal controller, some good games, and I'm happy.

Things I couldn't care less about:

-Natal
-Move
-3DS
-New PSP
-Anything Wii

I am (sadly) betting on Nintendo going (as they said) against Apple in the mobile space, which could result in aping an iPod touch with controls and 3D display.
Of course it would fail, but I am not sure if everyone agrees with that.
Let's see if they go that route or not.

I`ll be watching the conferences on IGN and G4 and have this forum up,hopefully it doesn`t crash too much, last year was good...IGN says the MS conference is Monday at 10:30 AM...i`m guessing that`s PST?...I have to know this since I`m EST and it`s going to be a close fit.

EDIT: nm I Clicked the World time thing in the OP and it`s PST. :D

Agree. I can respect other people enjoying that stuff but it isn't for me.

Relix, there's been quite a lot of pre-E3 news posted and only some of it is in the OP. I don't know if you were planning on waiting for Sunday or not for some stuff, but to me it makes sense to include stuff like the GT TV stuff tonight, Sony's trailers today, etc.

One thing would be all of the E3 lineup threads.

Everyone else, if anyone wants to put together summaries of any news posted so far with links, I'd be happy to edit it into the OP as necessary.

The deal between Microsoft and MTVN is likely the culprit, since the US/Canada versions of Microsoft's e3 site just encourage people to watch SpikeTV, while the other international versions have the streaming space up. It shouldn't be much of a problem though, since I doubt Microsoft will put up any sophisticated measures like IP blockers, and people from US/Canada should be able to view Microsoft's stream at their UK site, or at any third-party web site that you mentioned, since they are largely unaffected by the deal.
