EA E3 2014 Press Conference Thread

Wow after the lackluster MS conference and now EA's entirely predictable one full of trailers, Im not sure i want to stay awake now for sonys at 2am!

But i will if only for BEAST anticipation

I'm excited for the games they had but they didn't show them off at all. Of course you can show off yearly franchises since they are coming in a couple months but c'mon guys, have something ready that's cooler than what we know is coming every year.

So I've gone through the process of signing up for this beta three times and each time it gives me the screen to check my info, but for email and origin ID it just says "..." and won't let me change it. I've gotten to a SUCCESS screen that says it'll send whatever to my email that I entered, but it never prompted me to enter an email. Soooooooooooo another quality EA product?

Awful. Ubisoft is going to be boring too except for one game announcement that is going to be the best thing ever (aka Watch Dogs LOL). Save us Sony.
Ubisoft is gonna show off more AC Unity, Division, and probably some new next gen ips. I'm very excited for their conference. Except for the inevitable Just Dance

I...wonder if you have anything of worth to post.

God damn there's a lot of whining in here. Have most of you never seen an EA E3 conference before? Good lord. So much thread shitting.

Sec guys we can't have super quick reactions to a press conference, shut it all down
This is code for chill the fuck out, dude

Conference was whatever. Hardline got a huge reveal but they got HOOOOSED by the dam breaking on it.

I think this is the year of TODAY TODAY TODAY

If the last couple years are any indication I've got more faith in Ubi deivering than Sony.

Really underwhelming. Sony platforms are never a good fit for an exclusive demo, and I say that as someone who doesn't own a (working) Microsoft console right now. The download speeds are just too slow. Plus everything was so early in development. I mean, I can't even guess how many of the games will play, because they were basically just showing the engines off.

This, so much.

EA had jack shit to show this year. I walked away knowing almost nothing new about the newly announced games from last year--Mirror's Edge, Battlefront, Criterion's new game, or Mass Effect. Hell, even with the yearly games and stuff we'd already seen plenty of they didn't show much.

The MS conference was great even with all the leaks and things known in advance. This conference would've been lame even if nothing had leaked at all.

In general, the EA press conference was a little bit weak. I expected to see more and better stuff from Sims 4.

But I'm genuinely blown away by the new Criterion game! It looks so amazing and it is so far my highlight of this E3. And that by far!

I prefer the prototype approach to CG trailers that don't represent what a game is (like Platinum game at Microsoft, Crackdown, ect), but this wasn't good.

That was an entertaining bit.
Chuck's death, Golf shot over a crashing exploding military ship, All these feels, "beta is available... NOW" *smoke effects!*

It may have been horrible for actual games (that will be playable before 2016) but at least it was entertaining in a hilarious kind of way.

Awful. Ubisoft is going to be boring too except for one game announcement that is going to be the best thing ever (aka Watch Dogs LOL). Save us Sony.

I hope the silence surrounding Sony's presser doesn't mean they've got little to show. if that's the case, this could be looking like the most underwhelming E3 in a long time. Not exactly the best scenario given it's the first E3 that all current-gen consoles are available.
Starting to think maybe this gen started too early, nobody has software ready.

dragon age and battlefield looked great...everything else is sooooo far away. : (

expected Battlefront and ME to be further along.

Kind of a stinker, started with a show-stopper. The ending with the poor gamers on the roof and the smoke finish was fucking hilarious though.

So this is what we look like when they announce FFXV, etc.

Ubisoft can do good conferences. Especially when there's a Far Cry around to hype.

Yeah, because The Sims 4 sure looked incredibly different than The Sims 3, and its not like Final Fantasy Versus reemerging would hype up people.

Yup, totally the same, you got Gaf there.

Really, really terrible D- 2/10 conference. Star Wars has potential, Mirror's Edge looks like a better version of that, but everything else may as well either not have been there (Dragon Age shows almost nothing, Mass Effect confirmed to exist and nothing else) or would have been better off not being there (SPORTSSPORTSSPORTSEMOTIONS, Sims)

And we're not even at the Ubisoft show yet. Ugh. Save us, Sony.

That was an entertaining bit.

What's even more entertaining is knowing that you could have this sim you spend all your time and effort on and figuring out he could die in an instant from having too much fun.

It's ok guys, EA didn't want the conference too be too fun because they'd kill us am I right? #Feels

Out of MS and EA conference, the first time I felt excited was seeing Mass Effect for even a slight snippet...

New Battlefield hardline technically interesting - 1080p60 for frostbite - sony been optimising ?

Impressive anyway.

8/10 just for ME - I giggled lie a kid..

Ubisoft is gonna show off more AC Unity, Division, and probably some new next gen ips. I'm very excited for their conference. Except for the inevitable Just Dance
Also not looking forward to Aisha Tyler hosting again. I don't mind her elsewhere, but she is SO annoying at E3. I literally mute the conference until game footage shows up.

Lacklustre, for me anyway. Too much CG and behind the scenes concept stuff. Not enough actual substance. And the stuff they did show, I didn't really care for.
