Conference Call Quotes:

Future Lineup
We're thrilled to bring a new Star Wars Battlefront game to fans worldwide in the 2017 holiday season
We're also excited to have a new Need for Speed title launching in FY18
FIFA 18 will build on the foundation we created with story mode this year, bringing players back to The Journey with Season 2
Our Madden NFL franchise will transition to the Frostbite engine with Madden NFL 18
And at the end of the fiscal year, our BioWare studio will be delivering an all-new IP

Q3 Performance
Net sales for the quarter were $2.07 billion, a new record for the company. The outperformance versus our expectations was driven by Battlefield 1 and FIFA 17, offset by Titanfall 2
Using Q2 plus Q3 as the measurement period, FIFA 17 Ultimate Team grew 22% over FIFA 16 Ultimate Team

Digital sales and services
32% of our unit sales are now digital rather than physical, measured on current-generation consoles over the last twelve months. This is ahead of our fiscal-year target of 29%, and is likely to be driven slightly higher again by the fourth quarter, which is dominated by catalog sales
Subscriptions, advertising, and other digital purchases contributed $104 million to net sales, up 16% year on year. EA Access and Origin Access continue to grow.

Wilson really turned that place around. They were in a dark place those last few years of Riccetiello (financially and in their quality of output).

Whoa that is crazy for battlefield. Now DICE just needs to expedite that season pass content and take advantage of those numbers.

Nah, the reason why BF1 is so good is because they took their time and polished the shit out of every single aspect of the game. I am glad they are taking their time with the DLC even if i am starved for new content.

Wow those COD YoY -30% numbers going around between Professional COD players must be true then considering FIFA 17 is now the best selling console game.

30% is a huge drop considering how much it sells. Activision getting those WW1 and WW2 games ready in the pipeline. If the next one isn't boots on the ground they are screwed.

Man, BF1 really seems to have done well. It always seems to be in the Top 3 on XBO's "Most Played" charts, with CoD much further down the list at 6/7. (BO3/IW)

Wonder if we'll get updated digital/physical split figures during the call. (unless they are in the OP and I've missed them)

EA:

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes performed well. Average gameplay time per player reached a new high of 155 minutes per day.

Isn't that a mobile game ? Damn, 2.5 hours a day on average for a mobile game seems excessively high

no more NBA Live in Q4

you talk about this calendar year, i suspect!?
we should get information about that in the next quarterly earnings

Its push to this fall. Was really hoping it was coming this spring to put some pressure on 2K. 2K17 is fun (albeit buggy) but 2K Sports the company dropped the ball this year
