PS5, unless Sony really underwhelms.

im also a primarily PC gamer so every MS exclusive will be available there and that’s how I’ll play those. For me personally, MSreleasing everything on PC as well greatly lowered the chances of me picking up an Xbox. Although the XSX looks awesome.

How do you know PS4 owners will switch for Xcloud after having played UC4, Spider-man, God of War, Death Stranding, Days Gone, HZD, etc this generation

these are all the same type of game:

boring ass movie-"games". if I want to watch a movie, I go to the cinema, not turn my ps4 on lol also, all those games can be finished in 1-2 days.. dont even need to buy a ps4, I can just borrow it, "play" this movie-"game" and return it. meh.

at least for xbox the are different type of games and not all the same type of movie-"games".

if you can't argue: just post a gif. lol its true though, they are of the same time:

single-player
movie-like
cinematic
story-driven

still, you can play through all of them in a couple of days and the mainfocus is the story itself. and mostly those are shitty storys.

I mean, uncharted or indiana jones? easy.

Yeah, because HZD, Uncharted and Death Stranding are the same game.

So are DMC5, FF XV and Tomb Raider.

Right?

I was a Sega guy who moved to the Xbox after the Dreamcast died. I then got a 360 for that gen, but after the absolute clusterfuck that MS gave us with the XBOX One I went PS4. However once the Xbox One X came out I got rid of the PS4 and went back to MS. Think I will go Xbox again next gen.
I reckon MS is going all out this gen to have the most powerful and innovative console, just like they did with the X. People forget just how much of an engineering beast the X is.
As I have said before in other threads, Sony isn't going to let MS have a console thats too much better, so its going to be close on the specs sheet, and then let the games begin.

Buying both would be an incredible waste of money. You'd be better off getting a PS5 and a PC or just the Xbox if you're not interested in PlayStation. As a PC owner, you can guess which one I'll be getting.

If the XSX is close to 100% backwards compatible I'll probably get one. I have a lot of 360 and og games and I never feel like hooking the old consoles up to play them. I ALMOST dug the og out of the garage to play some rallisport challenge 2, but nah.

If Sony comes with some great exclusives I'll most likely get a PS5 a couple years after launch

Backwards compatibility is important to me... So... XSX.

I don't get why so many people vote PS5.
The majority of people prefer and choose a new console for brand new, new gen games built up for the PS5......If they are going to play the older games, remasters and remakes gives them some impetus...……...Yet, PS5 will have BC, so that feature is there as well.....

What made the XBONEX innovative? or powerful? The fact that it came 1 year after the PRO? What's the engineering marvel in X? Where is the CB hardware, the ID buffer, the 20Gb/s bus, the butterfly GPU setup, the 64 rops, the Vega features, the extra memory for non-gaming tasks that doesn't slow the OS down to a crawl......Then already in tow, the speaker, audio jack and share button all on the controller which were some of the best features this gen, then we had the trackpad, which worked great in some games and the vr port on the console with the lightbar which allowed us some truly groundbreaking VR games this gen......Now that's hardware innovation and engineering....fully utilized to bring us great games......It's the whole point of great engineering....

If you take the RTX 2060 Super which came later over the RTX 2060, is the 2060 Super some innovative hardware? No, it's not.....The extra power comes because they had more time to make it a bit faster and react to other products on the market......

Man, that's one salty post.
Only the worlds biggest fanboy wouldn't admit that the XBOX One X is an extremely innovative console.

And that's one extremely naïve and lemmings style post.....You want me to believe something, but you cant say why, so you resort to, "just believe it K"......and the usual fanboy accusation...

I gave you a good breakdown of what great engineering is, more power is not great engineering, it's the "it's and bits", why they put a faster bus there, why they put CB hardware in, why they put a butterfly GPU setup there...….What the light on the controller was for, why the extra DDR3 memory was implemented, why the ID buffer was placed in, why the many vega features to improve efficiency with the DCC etc etc.....

So no, the XBONEX was not an innovative console, it has less rops than the PRO, it was just slapped a bigger cooler and more memory when these things got cheaper 1 year later, at no cost savings to the consumer, they still launched at the same $500 as their 2013 console...…...

So great engineering is failing to.put in a UHD blu-ray drive? Or having a ROP count you can't use because the bandwidth isn't big enough? Or not allowing your customers to gain any benefit from the increases power to make their old games look any better? Or really sucking at giving your customers access to use their old consoles games on the upgraded hardware?
Please.

XBonex or PS4 Pro are upgrades comparable to slapping a new GPU on a PC.

Innovation 😂
At least there was some thought behind the design of the PRO internally, the XBONEX has 32 rops, they boosted the clocks of the GPU a la Wattman because of a better cooler, added some more ram because ram was cheaper and voila, an engineering marvel filled with innovation...…..Sony could never match the marvel that is the X, if it launched the PRO at the same time in 2017 :messenger_smirking:…….

It was simply innovation dawg.....:messenger_grinning_smiling:

Do you even think at this point?

What are you talking about?

UC4, Spider-man, God of War, Death Stranding, Days Gone, HZD, are ALL "praised" because of their movie-like single player experience. all because of the same reason! same with last of us..

or is there ANYONE that bought last of us because of the mediocre multiplayer mode? lol

again, sony exlusive games are all mostly just a movie-like experience... just play it once and you are done.. they are ALL the same, just a different "skin", but the "gameplay" is almost the same.

The only thing that is always the same are your posts. Give it a rest.
Go play some Forza 10 for the 20th time.

well, forza is still the best racing game on all platforms, so? and IT IS a different game, its not the same cinematic movie-like "game" like all sony exclusive games lol

This time definitely no Xbox for me. Tried it 2013 at Launch day, sold it same day after comparing with PS4.

Than bought the Xbox One S, sold after 2 Month. Now my Xbox One X is becoming more dusty every day.

Okay, so you're saying that Spiderman has almost the same gameplay as Death Stranding?

And Horizon Zero Dawn is basically a copy of Detroit Become Human?

Same goes for God of War and The Last Guardian?

That's your claim, right?

Voted both but potentially neither. For XSX, it depends on whether I decide to build a gaming PC in the next couple years and difference in offerings between GamePass PC and console. For PS5, depends on if I desire anything more than just God of War 5 on it, otherwise I just wait to play it on one of my friends PS5.

because both are single-player games? huh? like 99% of ALL sony exclusive movie-games?

Halo Masterchief teaser tingy looked like a movie. Hell, Helblade/2 is more movie then all those games.

So again, you are going to ignore Helblade right? or play it in a week and never touch it again? That's why Microsoft is stuck in the Forza, Halo and Gear circle because all other projects mostly fail.

Wait until MS starts pumping out way more movie-like "games" per year than Sony per decade. Which is why they've been buying third-party studios left and right. I know you'll love them then.

Which Forza are you talking about though? 4? 5? 6? 7? The "open world" spinoff that had 4 releases in 6 years? The yearly game that first came out just so Xbox would have a Gran Turismo clone? Different?

ROFL

Your reactions are so predictable! More predictable than the yearly Forza.

WOW, PS5 solo is stretching it's lead even more whilst XSX solo is hardly budging...…..I thought gamepass, bc, xcloud, censorship, crossplay and Phil were changing mindshare back to XBOX.....Let's not Sony not being at E3 was another...…...Really puts things into perspective, what people really care about, and it's not PR and hype....

Currently;

PS5 Solo: 361
Series X Solo; 95

To each their own I guess... The Xbox still has the advantage for backwards compatibility, considering many games from both the original Xbox and the X360 are playable.
I know that Halo Infinite is going to move Xbox consoles though. So to me, it's surprising to see that many PS5 supporters. Especially considering it has been reported that between 12 to 16 exclusives are expected at launch for the Xbox.

Wanna know what I think? People in here are ditching the Xbox due to its... 'unique' look.

We don't know on bc Sony very well could out do MS there I expect it as they painted themselves in a corner with it. Was great for the one but it should of been redone for the series x for more complete solution. On the look I have a feeling unless Sony is spending a ton on cooling or it sounds cape Canaveral during takeoff it will have the same form factor. Cooling 300 watts silently is a challenge in a small form factor. The series x box was made for cooling.

After GamePass, BC back to the OG Xbox, and the X hardware; I really don't have much interest in a PS5 at launch.

Will probably get a PS5 around the time God of War 2 is released.
