After long long time, it feels like final name.


Watched this video couple of times more. I don't like looks of ratcat at all in this video. Can't complain since this is kinda prototype. Sony is releasing media of other games before E3 so I am guessing/hoping latest trailer of Trico will be shown at E3.
 
given gaf is the "hardcore" i find it almost unfathomable that people dont own a PS3 AND an X360.

whats wrong with you people? SECOND JOBS and all that...
 
wow I just saw the footage and I thought it was pretty incredible. Graphics aside because it's obviously just early footage, the presentation was beautiful

Yonko is correct

Shi can mean 4 but it is not correct in this object counting system of ico, nico, sanco, yonko... etc. Shi also means death. Also oshico means piss.


I doubt it is actually called trico, even internally. Someone at playstation lifestyle probably added that themselves when they put their watermark on it. In Japanese it would be called sanco if anything.

HOLY SHIT at the HD VIDEO on Gamersyde.

This already won E3 for me, it's all I needed to see, E3 can be cancelled tomorrow and I wouldn't give a shit, just give me release date so I can start hybernating in my cave.

there are only a few games that deserve insane hype, and anything coming from Ueda DESERVES that hype.

Kojima et al can all bite it, Ueda is the master.

Can't wait to see the news version. Only complaint I have is that the kid looks a little weird. he has no detail on his face. Look's like a doll basically.

Put the studio ghibli logo on it and could pass for a Miyazaki movie. Love it and I hope whe see a little more in the E3. Run to play SotC right now :lol .
 
I let it sink in after a few more viewings of the HD version on gamersyde. As with every game from Team ICO, the animation is very impressive. I'm still not sold on the creature, but as was stated several times in this thread, this is old footage so who knows what it looks like now. With all this stuff leaking, I wonder if Sony is going to have any megatons left for E3.

The music in this trailer is not from the game. It's from the film Miller's Crossing. And even still that is awesome music!
 
This is possibly the coolest concept for a videogame I've ever heard of. They certainly outdid Ico and Shadow of the Colosus. It doesn't hurt that it looks amazing.

I've own a PS3 game since launch and there hasn't been a single game that has excited me. I like the 360 interface enough that I would even rather play inferior games on it just to have the functionality and community features it offers. HOWEVER, even if I didn't already have a PS3, this video would have sold me. I have never seen a trailer that impressed me so much with it's concept and execution.

If you want to feel how a game can evoke feelings and emotions within you... I would recommend Flower. One of the best experiences I have had this generation. The second to last level made me feel sadness/anger in a way not many games has evoked.

The level where your petals wither if you touch the electrified structures. The first time the petals were shocked I was stunned. The way I played after that... I dont think I have ever been more careful about precise movements.

Very good game, and tries (imo successfully) to do the "evoke emotions through gameplay" bit like ICO and SotC. I highly recommend it.

Precisely.

If they do plan on unveiling "Trico," it wouldn't be with this test footage, as it's roughly a year old.

And I'd imagine there's still a few things being kept under wraps for E3.
 
Pretty damn awesome.
Not too big on the creature design, but I'm sure it will be better in the real thing.
 
Very impressive and very awesome. If they keep the concept, it would look like Garnett got it right when he talkd about My & My Colossus a year or so ago.

but anyways .. never played any ICO game (I know :() but this footage was just beautiful..and so artistic...the relationship shown between the boy and the giant pet was so beautiful.. can't wait to see the real revealing @ E3 hopefully

definitely think it was real time and it would be much much better as this was so long ago

sign me up for TRICO now!
