The animation look's fantastic. I missed ico/sotc and am looking forward to this game.

I wonder if this footage was "leaked" on purpose to take the heat out of ps3 slim gate........

I don't know about that. I think this is pretty much was his next game will be like. It was already mentioned that insiders say the game looks a lot better now.

its behaviours feel more like a cat, though, like when it was on the pillar, and when it moves. The height of its legs from its torso feels more like a cat than a rat.
 
Haha philosoraptor is great.
After watching this again, it looks more interesting than I thought last night. I really wan't wait to learn more about what type of conflicts will be in the game.

But.. that creature really does look a little too freakish for me.
The animation on it was great. It's just fucking weird looking. It's like a bird and a rat with the mannerisms of a cat.

Besides, Team ICO always creates concept videos to give an idea of what they want the game to be like. So yeah, it's fair to suggest this is pretty indicative of what the game is about.
 
Have their been any responses from Sony about this video? Usually you would have expected the canned "we do not comment on rumors or speculation" spiel at this point. My gut tells me that this was given to that site to release.

The image in my avatar is from that original picture, not this teaser. So yes, it's identical.
 
Millers Crossing? I like that movie. This video is......interesting. Don't like the design of the griffin. It's like they modeled a fox cat and put feathers on it. The animations are awesome but none of that looked like actual gameplay. Can't wait to see what this really is.

the SotC Colossus were grotesque but most ppl got at last a tear for them.

Yeah, bets on for whether the game ends with you having to kill the poor Kitton Griffon. That will suck if it happens though - I was sad when I saw all the arrows stuck in its hide already. :(

This looks awesome. This and GoW3 has sealed a future PS3 purchase for sure.
 
The catbat design is not final...

Remember the colossi in ICO 2 videos? I think it will look like that to a point, but a lot of fine tuning will be made from there. (has been made I suppose).

I'm actually hoping they don't shift too strongly from this design; it's deceptively appealing in a way that I believe is very good for the game.
 
Damn this really makes me want to go out and get a PS3...

The animation is off the records, which games come close to this?

I'm positive it will stay "quirky" and weird. Also the kid will change no doubt about that.
 
I like that the creature looks ugly and weird. Ueda's all about defying standards and expectations. If you want to see what a cookie-cutter chimera design looks like in a current-gen engine, go play The Last Remnant.

Man, this looks bad even if it's a year old concept video. On the bright side, if the game actually ends up looking like that then there's a good chance it'll run at a steady 25fps.

seems a little too polite to tell Sony to F off.

Anyway..i don't see how they couldn't imcorporate trophies. Im sure they can at least do some story completion trophies.
