Those PS4 exclusives ya'll. They gunnn shiiiiiiiiiiine.
I get the feeling that the PS4's advantage is bigger than what a 500GFLOPS GPU difference would get you.

Maybe you would have gotten a more neutral reaction if your post wasn't combative and dickish.
If only you would have done the same in the 1st place.
I've had a very bad day of it regardless so something will likely happen anyways
My problem was simply your rhetoric in the first post being so aggressive
You could simply have pointed out the reputation for that site in a far more neutral manner
Yea right because only your opinion is correct one.
Other people have opinions too and some of us like all the games better on Xbox and that has nothing to do with fluff and all to do with having good taste
Not exactly, Cerny said the GPU could even be used for advanced audio processing such as ray casting applied to audio. Standard audio duty will be performed by a custom chip maybe not as powerful as XB1's SHAPE but sufficient for non kinect or "kinect-like" tasks.Cerny already said the GPU will process the audio, AMD announced TrueAudio for their latest GPU a couple days ago, maybe Sony have it for PS4?
I still don't buy that "political issues" would cause them to downgrade the PS4 version. That would be a purposeful slight against Sony, as opposed to it just showing the natural deficiencies of the XBO hardware. Seems like that sound cause more of a political struggle than anything else. I wouldn't expect entirely new shaders to be written for the PS4 version but I could see things like resolution, AA changes, etc happening.
So you are suggesting that liking PS games more is bad taste?Yea right because only your opinion is correct one.

Hey guys.
To be blunt both of these consoles are going to be extremely similar to each other in terms of performance. If anyone is making a purchase of one over the other based on these measures alone, STOP.
The gap difference between the consoles and your computer you are using is probably bigger than pitting the PS4/XB1 against each other.
I'm not calling anyone out.. I just want to make a point and leave my 2 cents. Don't let gaming journalism play with your head.

Well I think that depends on if AC is a true franchise going into next-gen or not. If sales slow up, i think it wasn't a good investment. Sony should be asking why the heck is this small studio making all this money with Minecraft when Media Molecule came up with play create share like 4 years ago? They better get busy in a major way on PS4!You think so?
I don't know, I think it wasn't necessarily a good call. Granted the PS3 had so many problems that one exclusive game like AC wasn't really going to do anything in the grand scheme of things but it's not like they really knew, at the time, the full extent of the incoming disaster.
Proof? I cannot provide the link, but there's a interview with someone from SE at gametrailers where they said the PS3 version could support dual audio and additional content but we want consumers to have parity.Sony's policy of requiring exclusive content of games that are coming towards their platforms later is better because they tend to give players more replay value.
Microsoft's policy of theirs of which you just mentioned has most likely to do with purposely handicapping other competitors versions of games from performing better than Microsoft's Xbox versions of games, either graphically wise, performance wise, or both. So that policy isn't exactly as good as Sony's.

So what is the most likely date for launch titles to go gold?
PS4
Earliest - Oct 15, 2013
Latest - Oct 22, 2013
Is this the likely scenario?
It's certainly reasonable, it's usually 4-6 weeks before street date, but with it being a console launch it will likely be 3-4 weeks as they will do everything they can to get more time, Expect a lot of games to have Day 1 updates to improve performance aswell.

I almost flipped the eff out! like wow, talk about throwing your fans under the bus -_- I'm almost positive FF13 sold more on PS3...
F u SE -__- I will never forget it!!

So basically if you switch the PS4 name with Xbox One he'll be all over it.

I've always wonders why digital versions need updates too - makes no sense to me.I cant imagine a retail game that won't get one.
I'd like to think that digital versions of said titles will have the patches in already, but that's not happening either.

IMHO this is totally up to public perception...seriously, for things like this, perception IS reality.
Look at the way that gamers react to a PC game that runs horribly on AMD cards vs. a game that runs horribly on Nvidia cards.
Bad AMD version: "Damn you AMD and your crap drivers! Your drivers have always been crap!"
Bad Nvidia version: "Damn you lazy developers, fix your crappy game!"
Why is this? Because we believe that AMD's drivers are garbage, which may have been true at one time and which may or may not be the actual reason your game runs terribly. (More likely it is because AMD or Nvidia sent engineers over to help that particular developer before launch, and made sure compatible drivers were up on day one, and the other company didn't, for whatever reason.)
So if we all believe that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbone, then if a PS4 version is much better than the Xbone version, then we will all just shrug and say "well, that's about what we expected..."
If we believe that the PS4 and Xbone are equal, a better PS4 version turns into "Damn you lazy devs, what the hell is wrong with you!" from folks with Xbones. (Look at how PS3 owners reacted when they got crappy multiplatform games this generation - the belief is that the PS3 is more powerful, and it is, in some ways, but not in others.)
A version on parity, if we believe the PS4 is more powerful than Xbone, becomes "Damn you devs/MS moneyhats, why isn't my version better" from PS4 owners.
A version on parity, if we believe the PS4 and Xbone are equal becomes "Huh, that seems about right."
This is why it is critically important for Microsoft to try to shape public opinion on this now...it sure looks like there are actual hardware advantages in reality, but if they can sway public opinion, it will be the developers that will bear the brunt of the negativity if they release superior PS4 versions.
Oh wow.
MS have definitely tried to shape the narrative and it has backfired every time. Maybe it's just the way they're approaching their PR. Or maybe like the DRM policies there really isn't anything positive to tell people and that's why they have a hard time convincing us.

Microsoft is developing its own Gaikai for Xbox One
By Matthew Humphries Sep. 27, 2013 7:30 am
In 2014, Sony will be introducing a feature on the PS4 that we thought Microsoft would be unable to match. That feature is backwards compatibility.
Sony’s backwards compatibility will be different from what we have come to expect, though. Instead of including the required hardware and or software to run games from previous consoles, Sony instead will turn on the Gaikai servers and allow us to stream those games and play them through its next gen console. That also means, if Sony allows it, you could play previous generation PlayStation games on the PS Vita, smartphones, tablets, and maybe even through a web browser.
I say we thought Microsoft couldn’t match that feature, but it looks as though the company is busy developing its own version of Gaikai for Xbox One.
Sony took the easy and expensive route by acquiring Gaikai back in 2012 for $380 million. Microsoft on the other hand is developing its solution internally, and will no doubt be using its Azure cloud infrastructure to help make such a service possible.
So how far along is Microsoft in developing this cloud game streaming service? Pretty far I’d say. Apparently they are already demonstrating a version of Halo 4 playing on both Windows Phone devices and PCs. Inevitably, if Microsoft releases this as a service it will be for Windows devices. As for how fast it is, current builds run games with a 45ms delay on smartphones.
It seems unlikely Microsoft will beat Sony to market and is apparently referring to the streaming service as just a prototype internally right now. But for anyone concerned about how they are going to continue playing their 360 games a few years from now, Microsoft may have an answer soon that doesn’t require you to own a functioning Xbox 360.
Ain't nobody safe from Bish.
Why? Anyone should be able to participate on the boards, no matter where you work. That said...Can't you just ban those emails from registering in the first place?

So will the X1's. Can't wait to see how they're looking and playing when devs get the hang of each console.
Deserves its own topic?:

I'm not trying to sound like a snob or a jerk, but there is no part of the Xbox One that will outperform the PS4 on a technical level. You can argue with me till you are blue in the face about latency, SHAPES, and the gymnastics of balance; but the reality is- the majority of Xbox One games in a vacuum will perform less so than PS4 all things considered.
On point, Xbox One exclusives will have a tough time against the PS4 exclusives in terms of pure tech. Art direction is a whole other story. I hear those dudes at Black Tusk got some fiya in the barrel.
Why? Anyone should be able to participate on the boards, no matter where you work. That said...
Common sense dictates that you don't use your work email account to make those kinds of posts without disclosing that association up front.

The funny thing is that I looked at his post history and thought "This dude sounds like a shill." I really think you need to bring the sickle down again and this time make the thread to go along with it.
Fair enough.
With a little time I could probably write a search algo to calculate someone's shill factor.
