I get flies in the house all the time since my wife and daughter leave the screen door open for the cat. Most of the time I snatch them out of the air and crush them with my fist. Doesn't help my OCD hand-washing, but I'm always knocking stuff over trying to swat them and regard fly-swatters as inherently filthy.

i envisioned some automatic whack contraption before seeing it, like an auto swinging hammer but with a flyswatter on the end. :lol
