Everybody's Gone to the Rapture |OT| A Cosy Catastrophe

For those that have pre-loaded this in the U.S. How large is the download? Be nice to know if I've got a chance of playing this tonight/tomorrow am.

Looking forward to playing this. I'm in the mood for a good "walking simulator" after playing Ethan Carter! I really enjoy this kind of game.

Pre ordered this a few weeks ago to get in on the 10% future discount when you buy 2 items (I bought Journey and this), can't wait to play tomorrow or midnight tonight. Its already downloaded the full game and patch for me sometime in the last few days.

I have no clue what the game is but I remember thinking how pretty it was during PSX, plus the fact that its exclusive to PS4 (not even a steam release) makes it a no brainer to try out.

Holy shit this is already coming out????

Why the fuck did I think this was 2016??
Are you thinking of Edith Fitch? That's 2016 and for some reason I confused that, this and Ethan Carter! 😂

Thankfully I now know which is which, and I can't wait for this to unlock tonight!

I inadvertently avoided most of the recent trailers/gameplay demonstrations, so I feel like I'm going into it mostly blind. Really excited to see what The Chinese Room have been cooking up!

Ooof, no PS+ discount? Although I love these kinds of games, €20 is a bit steep-ish.

EU folks should perhaps wait though. I remember Pneuma went online on Tuesday without a PS+ discount and on Wednesday I saw it had a 10% discount applied.

I'm completely blind, just read about this game for the first time, watched a couple of minutes video and bought it. Hopefully it's good.

If you're in Europe and a PS+ member, you'll get a 20% discount on the game. It seems the game went live without the discount applied so don't buy it yet!

from the other thread: you can run! hold down R2
Did reviewers miss that or something?

Game looks great. I think I'll hold off for a bit but I will be definitely picking this up.

Looks like it. Which is kinda mind boggling.

I'm assuming this happened as it happened to me. (Facepalming that I missed this.)

- Press every button to see if there's a way to move faster.
- Look at controls in the options menu. Controls show Left Analog stick to move, Right Analog to look, and X to interact.

Because holding R2 takes a few seconds to build up speed I think people, like myself, just didn't hold the button long enough + assumed it wasn't there since there's no indication of it in the control screen.

The movement speed didn't drastically impact my own experience, but this is good to know and hopefully it'll help everyone else.

Dammit! Oh well, it's only 4€, but irritating nonetheless.

EDIT: Hopefully they refund the PS+ members who already bought it, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Good to know. Was it added in the patch, or did the reviewers just miss it?

i wonder if the whole running thing pissed the devs off. I have only looked at a few reviews, but they all mentioned how you move too slow. They got dinged for not having something that in fact is in the game

Are you kidding me? Was there really no control scheme or manual for them to reference to figure this out? Because if there was, that makes those reviews look kind of stupid now.

Lmao, reviewers missed this? And it was apparently one of the biggest cons of the game! Well, good to know. Thanks!

Will have to get this in the morning now. Would buy it now but £3.20 more for what will probably be just 30 minutes of play tonight doesn't seem worth it.

Just when I think SCEE have done good releasing it around midnight they forget to add the discount.

They did when the same thing happened with Broken Age. Just give them a ring once the discount goes live and explain.

I kinda hoped it would be done automatically. I dunno if I want to wait on the phone line just for 4€. Thanks for the heads up though.
