I had a strange relationship with this game during the start. With Bethesda games I just want to go out and explore before committing myself to complete the main story. I loved it early on as the Commonwealth was fascinating to explore and learn more from the world. After a long 20+ hours of exploring I went back to the main story but found it dreadful. I don't care about my son and locking my character into making him care about it was a mistake. The dialogue system is just awful, I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they made it. In general I just stopped caring about the main story and wanted to learn more about a crazy ageless family or the harrowing tale of a toy maker living in a post-nuclear future. My enjoyment with the game kept getting worse the more I played it and it ended in the limpest way possible. I was baffled that it ended so meekly but bad endings in these games isn't that surprising. 7/10
