February Wrasslin' |OT| Royal Reignble Fallout. NO HOLDS BARRED, SMARKS!

The worst thing you can do is not get a reaction, but Roman does get a reaction. Even when it's silent -- that's a reaction. Getting booed -- that's a reaction. You don't want the crowd sitting on their hands. And if they're sitting on their hands, well, it probably was a bad town.

Once again DMczaf talking out of his a**. Normally I don't like to put people on blast but seriously, frick this goofball.

I did a YouTube search for Roman Reigns and Big Show with the filter set to display the results in order of the most recent uploads. I found FanCam footage of Roman Reigns vs. Big Show in a Jacksonville Street Fight, dated Febuary 7, 2015:

Judge for yourself.

And DMczaf? You can kiss my a**.
Tables match is an interesting choice for a Reigns/Big Show match.

Oh, that's a street fight. Ooooooook.

Anth0ny I feel like you are saying that the wishes and desires of hardcore fans should take precedence over the wishes and desires of the real WWE Universe.

Actually, I would go as far and say that the WWE Universe ARE the hardcore fans. They're the ones giving Vince money, after all.

And the ones that would advice lapsed or casual viewers on whether or not to watch the current product.

But hey, as Titus says, why book WWE around things the majority of people watching enjoy and book for merch sales and Cena fans instead, WWE doesn't really need another boom periods anyways, they get by just fine with mediocre ratings and interest. Stock holders are fine, income is decent now that the Network hit that million, so best not take chances and push anyone too risky.

Reigns looks good, girls and kids seem to like him, he'll make them money so that's fine for them.

Now there are three different accounts to the noise level of this match, who to believe...

I'm with you, Beef. There's nothing "hardcore" about complaining on the internet about your favorite professional wrestler's position in the company, and whether or not he wins or loses, especially when you don't even pay for it. Yet they think they can affect the direction of the company by ballot stuffing an online poll.

The hardcore fans still buy pay-per-views every month at full value because they don't have access to The Internet, except at the county library. That's the lifeblood of this company.

Anth0ny are you really saying WWE only caring that 75% of their audience loves the guy they're currently pushing is a bad thing?

No, just saying we're going to have to endure some baaaaaaaaad matches if Reigns turns out to be the guy. Worse than Cena, from the looks of it.

complete silence and indifference by the crowd during the actual wrestling matches seems to mean nothing to them. he gets the pop when the music hits and he comes out through the crowd, and then... ?

Do you think the "hardcore fans" even pay for the Network? Or do you think they just watch readily-available streams?

This is a good question. Obviously kids don't have credit cards so they'd need their parents to sign them up. Is that worth $10 a month for a parent? Does their kid really need to pay to watch more wrestling every week? They can watch 2 hours on Monday before going to bed and then more on Smackdown. Are Cena fans really interested in the back catalog? Or something like the Triple H/Vince podcast?

Meanwhile, the "hardcore" fans do have money. They are interested in old shit, and definitely interested in something like the podcast. At the same time, they can torrent all of that shit and find a stream for PPVs. You're basically paying $10 for convenience.

Hard to say either way. It's probably more kids getting their parents to pay if I had to guess. 1 million hardcore fans of the current product seems like a bit much to me.

It's on this day that you find out wrestling isn't about wrestling.

I don't think it's fair to assume that Roman's reign will be characterized by bad matches. He was wrestling Big Show, who is very hard to have a good match with. I think Roman's workrate will be fine because he's a blue chipper, a student of the game, and has a great mind for the business.

That's Vince's philosophy. But I would argue that he's wrong.

Ratings and interest for WWE are still dropping, after all. There's only a million people in the entire world
(minus Germany and India)
that are actually willing to pay 9,99 for their stuff.

I like this. Thread title material.

I almost feel, Aii, that you are suggesting that giving the ball to Daniel Bryan would usher in a new boom period in which regular people become seduced by workrate and ring psychology.

Reigns is not going to have a whole lot of opponents as the top face. He'll end up facing Rollins for half a year I bet. They sure aren't going to put him in a feud with Kane.

No, Vince stepping down and WWE focusing on better production and investing time and resources in their entire roster and not just one for could turn the tide over a longer period of time though.

Bryan would first need to cut his hair and groom his beard before ever becoming even remotely interesting to anyone outside of the wrestling bubble. Guy looks like a joker.

Thank you for lending your perspective, dream. Who can blame Vince McMahon for attempting to go in a new direction instead of accepting Daniel Bryan as the new normal?

You forget that looking like a fucking Amish person is all the goddamn rage with today's crowd of hipsters.

Guys besides throwing super positive crowds that genuinely love having a good time in wrestling shows; let's post more Mickie James things.

i dunno, he's already popular in other sections of the sports world, he's popular with total divas fans who don't even watch wrestling too

I really, really dislike how Chyna is all of a sudden back in the limelight because she got namedropped on the podcast. A tell-all interview was being advertised the very next day. Like what the fuck? Austin just shouldn't have went there. She does nasty porn and has no place in the WWE or the hall of fame and now she has this spotlight on her.

This is a super unhealthy attitude to have. There is nothing wrong with acting in porn and shaming sex workers of any kind is stupid and gross.

I still can#t believe they have the Network not out here. Fucking carnies.

I like that Viktor is an option and Konnor isn't. Guess we know who the Janetty is already

I really couldn't tell you who is who in the Ascension and I have seen them way too often on NXT.

Also if Sheamus had good matches with Big Shoe he must be a miracle worker.

PS: Mickie is wife material.

The real report on Reigns/Big Show house show

Welcome to our future

The future of more years of Big Show bogging down people and being forced down people'sn throats.
Kane being shoved down people's throats.
How many times do people have to see these same matches over and over again?
Mix it up at house shows like they used to, and at least spare them and make it tag matches or something.
I do not blame Reigns for that, I blame WWE booking.
