FILTH Official Teaser Trailer

Release date:
27 September (Scotland) and 4th October (England, Ireland and Wales).

James McAvoy looks like he's having a lot of fun. Nice to see him let loose.

Based on Irvine Welsh's novel of the same name. Author of Trainspotting, Porno, Filth, The Acid House and a few more.

People are talking about some worm thing and how it could be done (been confirmed to be in the movie), so I guess I better read the book XD

Apparently, Welsh did tweet praise of McAvoy's performance in a test screening last year (last post on page 1).

That looked brilliant. It's the first time I've seen a British "red band" trailer.

"What made you want to join the police force?"

"Police oppression, brother."

"And you wanted to stamp it out from the inside?"

"No, I wanted to be a part of it."

Love that.

I just read about that
tapeworm
thing and it sounds insane. Not really sure how they're gonna pull that off in the movie without it being too weird.

Knows the Score
It's a good book, I assume
the tapeworm will work in a similar fashion visually to the way the book handles it, in that it moves through corrupts through the text.

My only concern is that James McAvoy is a bit younger than I imagined the lead in this, but otherwise looking good.

SKINNER!

Great poster. Can't watch the trailer at work so I'll save it for later on today. Really need to get round to re-watching Trainspotting. Last time I watched it was around 2006.

I don't know whether or not to be excited for this one. I thought the novel was very good but never have I wanted a character in a story to die as much as I did Bruce. It's testament to Welsh that he got me to finish his book despite the fact that his subject was such an unlikeable piece of shit. Interested to see how they pull off
the stuff with the tapeworm
, if they even try it at all.

Never read the book but the trailers alone are entertaining. I hope the film can live up. Color me interested.
