No harm meant to Scott, but anyone who takes offense to that pic being a spoiler is just, well... :lol
Eh...
I'm just thinking too much about the context of it. I mean, prior to the release of Final Fantasy IX, everybody thought the game was limited to the Mist Continent. It's a huge continent, about 15~ hours of gameplay on it alone, and then suddenly you go through a cave and the world expands... I remember a lot of people, myself included, kind of going "!" It was just a total surprise, and altered the entire worldview of the game.
So, really, it's entirely in the context. If Final Fantasy XII handles the set-up the same way, giving absolutely no hint to this, then 1/3rd or more into the game, suddenly expands... I just think it could, potentially, be pretty impactful, and giving it away prior to release could have ruined that moment for some people. Of course, that was before I knew it was in trailers, so apparently Square Enix isn't really worried about giving it away...
So, yeah, sorry for wasting everybody's time and getting people hyped up for it. I honestly didn't see the E3 2004 trailer, or much footage for this game at all really (I'm actively avoiding it

), so I didn't know it was already revealed. Even then, why aren't people talking about this? It could have some rather huge ramifications for the worldview, and could even alter the worldview of every single game that has ever taken place in Ivalice...
*shrugs* Maybe that type of stuff just means more to me than most, or maybe I'm just looking into this way too much... Likely the latter, I'm sure... :\
