Sword Familiar said:Well, Brynhildr being there doesn't really rule out Ifrit. For all we know there might be more summons per element. Maybe one for each enemy that can use them as well?
duckroll said:The next Jump scan(s) should be interesting. Chocobos are going to be shown, and apparently they look really cute. And Hope's summon is also revealed as Alexander.![]()

Y2Kev said:Wow, I love the full song. Lol. Maybe I'm just a loser, but I think the music is superbly produced. The singer is meh, but the music has an incredibly strong rhythm. The bridge at 2:50 is moving and sweeping.
Hamauzu is so freaking awesome.
Who will sing this in english?![]()

duckroll said:It's on youtube, nicovideo, and a bunch of other places. I love the song, it's so well produced, clear and precise, and clean sounding. I love songs where I can hear all the details and the lyrics are clear. So unlike Passion in KH2.
It's called Kimi ga Iru Kara by Sugawara Sayuri, try YouTube.TheChillyAcademic said:Then find me the link!
Oh and I liked Passion -.-
Sorta.

FFXIII could be the best FF ever and the OST will still be the best thing about it. OMG HAMAUZU
lorddarkflare said:Really? I think it sounds pretty boring and bland.
But then again, outside of rap and metal, i have poor music sense.
Nirolak said:I think the theme song is alright. I just think it pales in comparison to Versus' main theme (well, at least trailer music).
I'm curious to hear Agito's.
By god the translation on that video. :lolbrandonh83 said:

And yeah, a big lol at the translation.
Well in that case it's definitely a nice gesture.KTallguy said:It's a Japanese guy translating it to English...
I think the song is OK, but the rest of the soundtrack does a lot more for me.
*plays boss battle theme x100*
So far, from all the trailers, and the several songs from the demo, I think it's probably the worst soundtrack I've listened to :/Y2Kev said:The rip (not whatevers on youtube, whatever) is superb. Oh, well I usually don't either, but I thought you were getting angry at me for laughing at the translation. Nevermind then. :lolKTallguy said:I prefer to point and laugh, I don't give anyone credit for half assed translations.
Man it's annoying going to youtube and hearing people whine because FF13's battle theme doesn't have "epic" electric guitar solos...![]()

I do like the boss battle theme, but the average battle theme is boring and repetitive, I'm going to have to kill the audio [mute] while I play this game, I can already tell. As for the main theme, I'll just not speak on that :X
Damn straight, but I thought the intent of this thread was to stay on topic and lay off the typical gaf-isms like ava/user/title/name quoting. Still, even if it is an overstatement, I'm not hating, just saying what I think.Awntawn said:hateradio

To be honest, they remind me a lot of the pre-rendered days. Especially the last one, it looks like something you could see in FFVIII, even when it comes to detail and etc.jump_button said:Environments are ok but now where near as good at ps1 yet, I feel ff games had so much more heart in every little area.
Darkpen said:I can't wait until next-gen, when we'll start seeing some PhysX stuff for some real environmental debris. These cities look so clean D:
Unless that's entirely intentional. But you're right, when I think of FFX, I don't associate it with the same, compressed detail and charm that I feel from the PS1 prerendered backgrounds, for some reason.
Mmm, true. But that red building just turns me off for some reason.duckroll said:It's entirely intentional. There is a sharp contrast in styles between a more "natural" art direction (ie: Vagrant Story, FFXII, Last Remnant, 4 Warriors of Light, etc) and a more "artificial" art direction (ie: FFVIII, FFX, FFXII). This is not something new to this generation, but has existed ever since 3D RPGs were made.

Though technically, his "power" (reflect) would have to be augmented in some way...
Hmmm.
That and the tattoo bit.
