So can anyone tell me if there's a way you can change you email address on the main SE site. Not talking about the account management site but the main one.

So I'm slowly getting back into things, and returning from launch, I've barely got my AF and still need Titan to complete my Relic. It seems like the fastest way to get a relevant ilevel now is to farm Soldiery for i100 stuff. Is random Duty Finder the fastest way to farm that? At ~100 per run, it's going to take a while for any meaningful upgrades.

Do all your Duty Roulettes once per day. Feel free to join A Rank hunt trains (30 sol per A rank, 100 per S ranks). Do the Gift of the Archmagus quest which requires you to run LotA/ST/WoD once per week (you get 100 sol per raid if you do them all from start to finish)

And besides that, doing the current latest dungeons (Keeper of the lake/Amdapor Keep HM/Wanderer's Palace HM) and you'll get both plenty of Poetics and Sol. They are rather quick to finish.

tl;dr: Sol is easy to get.

edit: also ST will give you i100 stuff (no loot restrictions) and WoD gives you i120 stuff with the loot restrictions being lifted in the next patch probably. Getting relevant ilvl stuff isn't too much issue honestly.

Should I start the relic weapon quest? I've seen some people say it's useless since heavenward will be out soon.

Literally up to you lol. Do you want something to grind/progress/work towards and have nothing else to do? Then sure, why not? If you'd rather not grind anything then the relic quest is not for you. (grinding 12 atma from fates/animus books of whichs there is 9 with 3 dungeons/leves/fates in each/etc)

If you have nothing to do and really want to grind something then I'd say go ahead and start it. Otherwise best not to.

Do you have the patients to do Garuda and Mog Hardmode over 600 times to grind light? If not don't even start.. Its the worst content in the game.

Lol, you named the best step of the relic grind as a reason not to do it. I'd have stuck with the animus books or the money sink known as Alexandrite step rather than any of the Light grind steps

So I should just wait for a better weapon? I really need to get my ilvl up so I can start crystal tower.

Correct my math if wrong, but wouldn't it be 250 times on bright? (Bright gives 8, 2000/8=250). Not trying to be snarky, I really want to know because I'm doing this step now.

Just do it on whatever the min ilvl is. Seriously, it's easy to get carried in there. Half the people who do CT are getting carried lol.

Min ilvl for the LotA is i55 or something isn't it? and you get ilvl 80 shit in there. Just proceed from there and you'll be geared up in a few days.

I found a good Nexus tracker app on reddit that keeps track of your light (I have like 602 light now) and also says how many total brights you need. 250 brights/500 gentles.

You don't have to stick to brights. You're free to mix it up. Just look what windows are open and figure out which would be the most efficient. Personally, I think an ST at newborn star is the best one. Garuda Light Grind is classic of course...

Depends on the group. ST with a good group at newborn is easily the best but good groups are a crap shoot a lot of the time.

I just go with whatever I like the look of depending on what's bright and above. I did want to do WoD at newborn today but couldn't get a group for 15 - 30 minutes so quit and went Garuda Bright grinding lol.

I don't care so much about limited if it only includes the statue. I don't want to order from SE's store and I want all of the other digital goodies and stuff, sans statue.

I've had good luck with STs lately. Mostly the bosses are dispatched before they do their big half time attacks so it's pretty fast. WoD at newborn is a bit more hit and miss and takes way longer. Garuda is great though. I love that there's a queue for an instance with her when she's bright even if you have a full party ha ha! Greg on bright is also good fun. But, yeah, I like that I can choose and shop around for whatever looks fun really.

Anyone know if we will be able to use the vial of fantasia to change a character to the new race of do we think they will put limitations on that? Would hate to do the main story all over again.

Does anyone know if the Mac version will need to be purchased separately from the PC version? I primarily play on PS4, however I do have the PC version. I would like to be able to play on my laptop but would rather not pay for everything again.

You can kinda help in T13 by stoneskinning people who gets earthquaked while tanking, though you'll get interupted every now and then and it really doesn't help all that much, but if you're not tanking the tethers even those crappy 600hp stoneskins can actually make the difference. But yeah it's kinda dumb, there's even a way to gain mana back but the only real tool using mana is Flash, and that seems like an afterthought more than anything else.

Well i guess i should go ahead and learn stoneskin, but maybe they'll toss in some more mp skills on the road to 60. Does seem strange to have Riot Blade, then only use it for Flash.

The pricing of the physical Heavensward C.E. ($130) is insulting to be honest. Not sure how they are finding an additional $70 (over the digital) in a small figurine, an art book, and a useless CD w/ trailers no one will watch.

Don't buy it? =)

People find value in artbooks, blu rays and figurines. If the artbook is any kind of good/great quality, that is enough for me right there.

It's nice to see someone speaking for everyone who will buy the CE ever. Means instead of asking others "Hey, did you watch the CD that comes with the Heavensward CE", I can just go to you and ask you instead. Thank you very much.

Isnt the statue...not really small?

It's pretty small, but looks fairly detailed and pretty nice. I think the figurine and the art book are probably worth the CE price. The bluray looks kinda crappy as it'll just be a compilation of the promotional stuff it seems, but it might have a making of/interviews in it which would make it nice, hard to say at this point.

Regardless, I fail to see how you can be "insulted" about a CE. CEs are pretty much always overpriced fluff goodies. That's why I never buy CEs, I don't care about that stuff so I don't buy them, I don't get why I'd be offended when they make a CE with more figurines, art books dvds, osts and other stuff, the only thing that'd offend me is having exclusive game content being gated behind the huge paywall, which in this case isn't an issue due to digital CE(which I also won't buy cause none of the stuff looks good to me but that's subjective).

Honestly, I wanted them to wait a bit longer before unlocking Final Coil. Still working on T13 after all. I'll probably have it cleared before then, but I wanted time to do the whole, once a week farm, before it was unlocked.

Well, that's what happens when you start a couple months late, I guess.

I wish that we were still getting the amano box art like back with FFXI.

Can't find a good image of 3.0 CE but it has like... 4 Amano pieces. The one with the dragonsong war on the box, a dragoon portrait on the box of CE and two dragons on the back of the DVD slip.

I may be wrong but the official translation doesn't suggest they are unlocking it. Just seems like an addition to the duty finder like they did with second coil (before it was off loot lockout). If they suggested otherwise could you link me to that information?

Binding Coil loot lockout system is strictly tied with it being off the regular queuing system. It being added to DF means there's no lockout anymore. They don't have to say it because, well, that's how it's been the last two times.
Otherwise, what's the point? Skipping turns? It still won't let you go in without a premade.

This never happened, you are imagining it. In fact you couldnt even solo queue into SCoB (or the BCoB, in fact) until several weeks after the raid was unlocked from the weekly lockout. You could only queue in the DF with a full party.

usually when they add it to the duty finder, it means they're unlocking coil

This,
We've gotten Amano art on every CE since 1.0.
Personally I think the XIV 1.0 amano art was fucking ugly.

Still not sure why Garuda was on the cover.
Some people said it was supposed to be Hydalean but fuck that, it's very clearly Garuda.

Oh my god, selling Lightning Shards is so fucking lucrative. I put up 100 for 12000 gil last night and they sold overnight. Then I put up 60 and 100 for 125 gil per shard today and the 60 stack sold in about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, you can get 40 from crafter Leves and sometimes they're even repeatable so you can get 120ish per Leve.

I rather hope that SS affecting dots isn't the only change there. Additionally, if it is, please give classes more TP/MP regeneration options.

Especially us tanks, some Bards simply won't sing for tanks.

I can't fathom the idea of selling shards.
It's so fucking alien a concept to me. Seems way too slow.

Well obviously this is going to depend on how far in the game you are but for me, I'm level 35 on my summoner and I've accumulated a highest wealth of about 70000 gil so being able to sell something as easy to obtain for me as the shards for 12000 per 100 stack represents a huge bump in earning capability. I'm sure if you're a level 50 or whatever there are better ways to make a living.

I have not found anything more lucrative at my level though plus doing the Leves is also a very large bump in exp. The other advantage is that while crafting for the Leves, I go for high quality materials as much as possible which are also big earners on the market.

I find it humourous that despite the small yet beneficial changes Square Enix have implemented to the game since A Realm Reborn launch that they still maintain the level 20 story quest rubbish in order for players to achieve their mount unlock. This story quest involves a dungeon run before you hit level 20. You can only begin to imagine how wonderful this is to face for a DPS class. Good luck to those based in Oceania who don't want to face the prospect of joining a random JP server and are therefore faced with being stuck on a US or EU server with irregular timezones.

Also a smart move in order to welcome new players or those who managed to scratch off that launch itch but want to rejoin for a piece of nostalgia. I'm sure if you looked up the definition of ineptitude then you would see the Square Enix logo emblazoned underneath its description regarding the complete lack of competence.
You're going to have to do that quest regardless, so what's the problem? That it takes a DPS longer to get to the mount quest than a healer or a tank? DPS have longer queues for everything, it's the privilege of being a class/job that usually doesn't have to take care of other players. If you want to be able to get to more content faster, why don't you play tank?

Do you think it is "competent" to give players a mount at level 10? What's the floor on how little effort you should need to get a mount?
