Okay you linked to the 50 minutes video thread... and now?
Both links work, they link to a post by Plywood comparing the footage from the 50 minutes video to Xenogears. Koozek's previous post was joke based on that.

FFXV does have directional input for combat. What are you even talking about?
You can have the camera collision off and the geometry disappear or become translucent if the camera goes inside the walls. Plenty of games have done it and it's the best way to do camera in closed areas outside of fixed cameras that are pulled back.
The combat in this game does not require directional input so your combat inputs are not dependant on the camera sngle. In fact even a game like DMC that requires delicate directional input works with a camera that can be both fixed and not fixed with the same inputs. It's workable you're just having the wrong idea in your head and assuming it won't work because of that.
No, they are in. They are just tied to the weapon you have chosen at any given moment (I think?) so there's no big menu for it anymore.I payed the ED demo recently and it seems that techniques are gone now?
Are they still triggered with a different button input than Attack? No, they are in. They are just tied to the weapon you have chosen at any given moment (I think?) so there's no big menu for it anymore.

Maybe people are really used to seeing a billion +1 atk nodes
Lol when they fought Anarea it's like coop ganging on lady Maria in Bloodborne.
References to the real world transcend brands. For example, a newspaper reveals to Noctis that Lunafreya's wedding dress is being made by lauded real-world fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Amazing.

A few interesting tidbits from the list I think we haven't known yet:
There are four types of magic elements. These are Fire, Ice, Thunder, and Wild. "Wild" magic is the result of combining and crafting the other three magic types. The game records your magic crafting history, so you can scroll through your spell history and re-craft more of your favorites. This is such a neat addition, and comes in handy when you don't feel like keeping detailed physical notes of your spells. Every settlement has a diner, and every diner has a unique menu. In Hammerhead, I could purchase chili con carne or a jambalaya from a diner next to Cindy and Cid's mechanic shop. Both of these items, if consumed, offer different stat boosts good for a healthy swathe of in-game time. The chili, for example, would give my party an attack boost as well as add 50 points to our health bars, and the jambalaya would up our attack and HP as well as add a health regeneration buff. In Galdin Key, along the shore, you can buy dishes made of oysters and boiled crap that offer their own mix of status boosts and buffs. References to the real world transcend brands. For example, a newspaper reveals to Noctis that Lunafreya's wedding dress is being made by lauded real-world fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. Amazing.
For outdoor they should have kept it Japanese and used Snow Peak rather than Coleman. This is actually really cool. lol.
Roen, Coleman, Audi, Vivienne Westwood. Pretty classy world building

This game is actually going to be pretty fantastic isn't it?
It's all on the story now. Gameplay seems equal parts innovative, progressive, ambitious and exciting.
All we need is the story to be simple yet personable, emotional, tight pacing, decent characterisation and a pinch of drama.
All I need is Luna to survive but I don't know why I feel like she is going to die
pls save Luna
The car still doesn't turn manually though but with a button press. In that gameplay vid it also parked itself automatically with a button press.

:Why? If you have followed the development and seen Kingsglaive you will have noticed that the Kingdom of Lucis (Leide, Duscae and Cleigne) and now even Insomina have lost nearly all Japanese influences. Insomnia went from an alternate Shinjuku to an alternate New York with heavy European fantasy influences. It only makes sence that most brands are American or European and the ones the royal court uses, like Audi cars.
There are still some partnerships that rub me the wrong way. That is American Express, because it directly references a continent/country that should not exist in Eos, and Vivianne Westwood, a specific real-life person that should also not be present in Eos. Those two really break my immersion in this game world.
Final Fantasy VII had a Texas bar and Korean BBQ, even though there is no Texas or Korea ;P

You can turn manually in the new build. You also don't have to use the auto park function, you can just park yourself and hop out with X.

Tabata: "You won’t really see a huge difference from Gamescom, because it is only two weeks since then, so the build that we have here it has been improved slightly, but the biggest difference is that you have a bit more freedom in steering while driving. That is one of the biggest changes you’ll see in the build that you’ll play today.
That was one of the things that we intended to implement with the day one patch, and has already been implemented."

Couldn't it have been Mastercard or Visa? XD
This is so weird to me. BBQ and Sushi, I have no problem with but why Korean BBQ? It really snaps me out of my immersion just as a big sticker of American Express on a shop window in Duscae does:

Link didn't work and I googled it and there is no mention whatsoever that you can manually turn the car and park yourself. Slightly steering your car to the left and right might have been added but I doubt they will allow you to manually turn and self-park. These seem to be fundamental mechanics that they somehow thought would be needed/would make sense in this game.
I figure that she's gotta be disoriented/staggered for a bit for correctly doing the parry. Aside from doing a bunch of damage (all them fire magic counters) or outright instakill (sabertusks, magitek troops) that's how it's worked (Garulas, etc).
please be PS4. the foliage and draw distance looks really good in this.
That's the Xbone version.
I always find it interesting that this is the result of the Japanese fanbase specifically. Why? What? That's actually pretty terrible. I really don't like that, it's going to be something that's plain annoying. They each have their own skill tree but they use the same points pool, so if you spent it a lot on Noctis and unlock a lot of his skills you'll end up with the others kinda lacking, which they mentioned in the video...![]()
Exactly. Remove stat up from any previous FF leveling interface system and there's almost nothing there.

That they de-Japanized Lucis? That is indeed interesting. Was it not well received in Japan? I thought the royal court being similar to a Yakuza clan was a very unique and interesting idea.

It's interesting to hear that Insomnia's westernized design is seemingly actually the result of Japanese fans complaining about the city's similiarity to Tokyo. According to one of the art directors, the goal was to create something that would feel distinct for Western and Japanese audiences.

That's uh... Okay? Idk seems like something really strange and small to be upset about? How far could they take it? "Hey the characters are wearing black boots. I own black boots. I'm not thrilled with this game anymore".
