I don't have the patience for that team. Good on that user.

Also, another for the Nino team. Darting Blow is smart, though I would go for Fury myself.

Appears to be +Atk/-Res so Darting Blow is fine, although I too would still prefer Fury for the Desperation activation.

Trust me, I thought about it a lot. But this makes the most sense for how I plan to use her. Mine is +atk -res, if she was +spd I'd go for Fury. Also, I only have one Hinata left, and I had extra Florinas.

There's some logic behind my decision. She'd still need to engage twice to activate desperation just from Fury, and generally there's at least 1-2 ranged on the other team that need to die before I mop up the melee. I think it'll work out.

One down three to go and my main team will be finished.

I like Machilas. Would it be a mistake if I promote him to 5* for the team composition?

Originally, I was thinking Robin or 3* Nino with neutral atk/spd.

My main currently are Lucina, Ephraim, Reinhardt. The last spot is shared among, 4* Nino, Olivia, Sakura, Robin(m), Nowi, and 5* Sanaki.

I want to join Nino country once I get a good Nino.

It'll be another month before the next 5* promotion at the earliest.

Finally got Lunatic Michalis after swapping out Eirika for Subaki in my Nino/Linde/Olivia team. I didn't realize Subaki was such a good tank. I should really pay more attention to all the other heroes I've neglected.

Decided to do some Blue/Green only pulls, got the Ninian I was gunning for. My roster now looks like this:

So spoiled for choice I don't even know what to field anymore.

Subaki has been the MVP of some of these bonus maps. Sapphire Lance + Quick Reposte + Swap is so good. Him, Nino, and Olivia are like a magical movement combo for poking and baiting dumb enemies. He's definitely worth having around as a specialist.

Got Swordbreaker onto Eirika but it'll take a while for her to build up the SP to learn all three ranks. Really excited for it though, she's going to be great against the Ryomas in Arena.

Tonight I'll have enough feathers to get Fury onto Nino. She accumulates SP a lot faster since she tends to hog all the kills, so her final form is coming soon.

After that, I have only luxury skills left on my checklist. I'd like to be able to get Fortify Def 3 on Ninian but I don't have a Frederick.

What did you do with her for A slot? I also went with Swordbreaker (Drag Back in on Tiki-loli.

more sp when u decide to make him 5*

yep. If you want to use one of the grand hero battle characters and plan to inherit skills, it's probably worth upgrading them from 3* after you level them to around 30-40. You'll save days worth of stamina and hours of grinding.

I wish seal res and swordbreaker weren't in the same slot. I really want swordbreaker on my fem corrin but seal res is such a big part of her and how she boosts her damage as well as that of merric.

Thankfully she's +defense so the falchion is even more dulled against her on top of colour disadvantage. Then again falchion users seem to be falling out of favour in the arena In favour of heavy ranged teams. I keep seeing double archer and double mage teams and I'm just like 0-0 ! I have tanky melee units and a dancer and merric your teams are going to die.

Swordbreaker really doesn't help you not get rolled by Falchions anyway, and it does nothing to help with Naga.

Never really understood the "breaker" abilities.

How exactly do they operate?

Exactly as the description says.

Okay let's say that my Eirika (-hp/+def) with 35 speed is going up against an unbuffed, neutral Lucina with 36 speed.

Normally neither unit would double, Eirika would deal 19 damage on Lucina while Lucina would deal 20 on Eirika. Eirika ends up with 19hp and Lucina with 24hp. Eirika actually comes out a little worse in this exchange.

Add Swordbreaker to the mix and suddenly Eirika gets two attacks for 19 damage each, a total of 38 damage. Lucina is knocked down to 5hp.

But wait, my Nino has Hone Attack 3. What happens in this situation when Eirika is boosted all the way up to 48 attack? Lucina is dead. Eirika lives.

In a situation when Eirika is going up against, say, a +spd Lyn with 40 speed she would normally get doubled. With Swordbreaker, Lyn will not double, but Eirika will, automatically. It overrides the speed stat when it comes to doubling against swords.

Say you are attacking the Sword User Roy with the Lance User Ephraim. Ephraim was given the Sword Breaker skill. Let's say our Ephraim has 100% health, and 1 speed. Roy has 1 Million Speed. If Ephraim attacked Roy, Ephraim would get 2 attacks, and Roy would not counterattack.

That is how the Breaker skills work.

Ty. So someone with a breaker will always get two attacks and cannot be counter hit by whatever the breaker is?

So it makes sense to give something breaker ability to the same type units, right? Say, Lance breaker to Ephraim, or sword breaker to Marth.

That is often the case.

Someone earlier asked for recommendations for their Tharja and I recommended Swordbreaker and not Red Tomebreker but yeah you'll usually want to be on-color for your breakers.

Fish for a 3* Cherche for Pivot inheritence, get a 5* Camilla +ATK/-DEF on the first green... Already have a +RES/-SPD 5* Camilla. I know that +ATK is the best but -DEF is not too great. Don't know what to do with that...

So I've ended up with 3 3* Olivia's, and I'm wondering if I should just merge them all or keep them around for skill inheritance. Doesn't look like she has much to pass on besides Knock Back.

Falchion has never been a problem for Fem Corrin as long as the falchion user attacks first . Even a neutral defense corrin can beat a falchion user as long as they don't go first or get danced. I'd have to do the math but I'm pretty sure sword breaker would let her kill most falchion users in one turn (second attack should do them in) letting me be more offensive and not waste a dance. Plus it further fucks over all sword users who were already at a disadvantage against her. Although again it competes with seal res and I currently make great use of that for more than just her.

Naga is.. frustrating. Usually some combination of merric and effie or marth is needed to deal with Julia. It's only fair but it's frustrating that most of my team handles magic poorly and the most popular magic colour has an advantage over much of my team.

To be fair I got filthy easy wins over the days of primarily takumi and m robin becuase merric laughs at them.

who should I promote to 5 star?

kagero +Def -HP
nino neutral
robin(m) +DEF -HP
chrom +SPD -RES
tiki(adult) +DEF -SPD

I only have 3 5* now. lucina,camila,fae.

One irony after blowing 100 orbs yesterday is that I like Jaffar and Michalis a lot where I got Michalis for free! I'm still sour on how I wasted mosteoporosis of my orbs and my Jaffar is -atk, but I'm happy with the new additions.

I look forward to the next banner, except not many orbs to get beyond usual Arthur and Fir. BTW how dare IS offer 5* Gordin? That sounds as pathetic as my 5* Fir and Peri.

I see where you're coming from, and it makes sense. But I see Seal Res as an enabler for your entire team and, with problems such as Naga, you may not be able to down it with FCorrin alone but you can enable a stronger option from another team member. Also Seal Res + Dark Breath+ is just a nasty as combo.

To me, Swordbreaker makes a ton of sense on a tank like Eirika or Roy since in either case they don't have a "weapon weakness", and gain an advantage over other reds to tank them on top of their innate advantage over greens. They also don't carry around Dark Breath+, heh.

Attack +2 from Cecilia when I had her inherit Rally Resistance. It's not optimized but it has no drawbacks so I went for it.

Ahh, I went +3 Speed for Fir. Eirika is nigh-immune to doubling in this fashion (also mine is trash-tier IVs with -speed, haha).

I still feel some decision paralysis on who to upgrade to 5*, since the game is still so new and IS seems like they are going to shake up the game once a month.

I think I may play it "Safe", and upgrade Anna.

What are your options and what kind of team are you running or want to run?

I don't really recommend Anna. I regret spending the feathers on her. Unless you're desperate for a green.

Sharena is considered the best free character, upgrade her instead

Well, I have 5* Roy, Ephraim, and Takumi, so I would sort of like to build an arena team around at least 2 of them. I also have a 5* Chrom, Young Tiki, Hawkeye, Gordin, and Eirika, with Hawkeye and Tiki being level 40 already. I also have my level 40 4* Frederick, which I used in my Arena teams for a while.

Here is everything I got

I see what you mean and yeah just nothing survives having it's res sealed and then merric hitting it with magic. Dark breath+ is just the best. So much debuffs. I used to have a saizo on my team in the 4th spot so basically no enemy went without a debuff but his damage and viability fell off too much. Can you imagine dark breath into fucking kagero with poison dagger on an infantry unit? So much doubling potential. Sadly she eludes me as do decent red units.

Quick question- I want to upgrade a blue (I have no idea of their natures, they are all 4* units).

Sharena, Cordelia, Catria. What would you recommend?

My most common team they'll be assisting is Lucina 5*, Camilla 5*, Lissa/Olivia 4*. I've got Michalis ready to hand over his Iotes Shield too, but also I'm considering promoting him to 5*- he's been a really good all-rounder while I've been levelling him, the defence-down debuff combined with his area-attack special can really change a match on his own.
