That was my point exactly. I feel this is a more than adequate update IMO.kaching said:.07 - not even a tenth, but naturally that won't get factored into responses any more than reading the OP fully usually does in most threads.

It will be interesting to see if there are stealth things like BR Profile 1.1 and added rumble support (nearly a given considering it was present in 1.94 and games supporting rumble are coming out).

Maybe we'll never get 'XMB ingame'? Maybe we'll just have games having access to XMB elements and presenting them in a game context. So access to XMB friends list, alerting you to messages that come in etc.

What ever happened to RSS feeds? The 1Up Show directly to my PS3, dammit!
So are there any devs that might know if there are architectural, under-the-hood changes?
There was talk of a smaller OS memory footprint and so on.
Anything?
What I do is if I want a friend to invite me into the game they are playing, or I want them to join my game, I put in the subject line "Join T5DR w/ me", "AIM me password", "Send Invite", etc., because it appears in the notification.belvedere said:A lot of games do, all the ones that actually matter anyway. People act like it's impossible to be notified when a friend wants you to join a game with them. You still receive a notification every time you receive a message in EVERY game, even when a friend logs on/off. If it's that important, you can quit out and read it for the games that don't support it. Yes it's inconvenient, but it's not like it's impossible, or even permanent for that matter.
TTP said:I know it was added. They just dont mention it here (for those that didn't buy Ratchet).

So the new PSN logo doen't replace the old Network one? It's been added alongisde it? What's in there precisely? PS Store and Account management stuff?
I'm even more intrigued by the Information Board.

you guys get that that's not how versioning goes, right? the previous version wasn't one and ninety four one hundredths. it was major version one, minor version ninety four. .06 doesn't turn that into 2.00, it turns it into 1.100.Gattsu25 said:That was my point exactly. DrXym said:That new logo sure looks ugly and sticks out like a sore thumb.
Anyway I expect 2.0 to be mostly internal changes. It would not surprise me if 2.0 was the bottleneck and once it's out that 2.01, 2.02, 2.1, 2.2 etc. will follow more rapidly than updates have been arriving lately.
They haven't charged for the PSP themes they've put out so far, FWIW.tribal24 said:oh there gonna charge for them who ever doesnt think so is wrong-_- i would hope for them not to charge but i know they are

Okay, this is a stupid question, but do we have a concrete release date for home?

You do realize that not everyone does versioning increments the same way, right? What you describe is one way. Some organizations do it differently, simply incrementing a standard decimal value sequentially. This is the way Sony has done it with the PSP and PS3 so far, at least in public.borghe said:you guys get that that's not how versioning goes, right? the previous version wasn't one and ninety four one hundredths. it was major version one, minor version ninety four. .06 doesn't turn that into 2.00, it turns it into 1.100.
