I wanted to put in a font that wasn't one of those three, a custom fontuser friendly said:Actually you can, it just resets to default after you change the theme. Just change it back to pop or rounded after you select your theme.

user friendly said:You need to put the on the ps3 HDD via mem stick or usb device. You can actually download it straight from the site with the ps3's browser and it will auto install itself.

BobTheFork said:so before I try to figure this theme maker out, does anyone know if you can put in any font as part of your theme? Thats what I really want.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<theme>
...
<bgimagetable>
<bgimage hd="a_HD.jpg" sd="a_SD.jpg" />
<bgimage hd="b_HD.jpg" sd="b_SD.jpg" />
<bgimage hd="c_HD.jpg" sd="c_SD.jpg" />
</bgimagetable>
<font selection="2" />
<color selection="4" />
</theme>

@theme maker
how does it work??
kassatsu said:The program isn't a GUI, it is a command line compiler. You have to make all the images and then create an xml file in the format of the sample. You then compile it and it makes the theme file. I hope they make a GUI soon. This is too confusing for most people to use.
BocoDragon said:I just discovered Nero MediaHome was doing that to me.... you have that running?
okay no... that wasn't it... it's still turning on.
Yup that would workFlek said:ah ok thx for the info iam going to give it a try
edit: so the easist thing you can do is just work on the icons in the sample folder and save them with the same name. then you can use the xml instead of writing a new one - right?
Open the command prompt and make sure it is at the location of p3tcompiler.exeFlek said:ok one more question - if i want to compile the sample for example how would i do that?
kevm3 said:how do you create folders? The browser is SO much faster, thankfully.
Marty Chinn said:Hit triangle and go down to information. From there you can edit the Album info text and then sort by Album.
I have Demo and Games folders...albums.iapetus said:Games have... albums?
It's an odd concept. Especially given how there's not enough games yet to deem it useful to split up by genre yet. But just go with it. Pretend "Album" is some french word for "Folder."iapetus said:Games have... albums?

Demo's
PSN games
PSOne games
I have a few in each and I think it's quite useful. I like it.

cd C:\[where ever you saved to]
ex. cd Desktop\p3tcompiler_v101
press enter and after you do that type or paste this line
p3tcompiler.exe sample\01\sample.xml
Press enter and it will compile everything for you
The output folder for the .p3t file will be folder the xml file is in. ( sample\01\ )
TerryLee81 said:Just tell me one thing: Can I keep the standard background but disable the "it-goes-black" stuff? And mybe choose the colour?
If you do it in the command prompt it won't flash, if you double click it it does.Flek said:hmm when i start the p3tcompiler.exe a black screen flashes up for a second and thats it - when starting GimConv.exe a black screen aperas saying "press any key to continue" ... if i do so it closes down too ~____?

I don't know, but I've asked that many times.Marty Chinn said:Oh wow, I never knew you could do this before. When did that get added?
