Original: Nintendo Switch being an ideal console to play VNs, it was a matter of time until they'll arrive.

Japan is getting next month the first one. Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P.
It's a port of a smartphone game with PS4 and Vita versions too.

ANN said:
Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P is a horror game based on the "Werewolf" (or "Mafia") game concept where the werewolf hides among a group of people who must discover his or her identity. The main character, Haruaki Fusaishi, gets lost and arrives in Yasumizu Village, and every time he dies he wakes up again at the same point in time. Players solve the mysteries behind strange events and tragedies regarding the "Underworld Banquet" murder ritual and a hidden werewolf. The game has multiple endings.

No news about localization.

Today, it has announced other game. Song of Memories.

Song of Memories is a love adventure game, it has a good sci-fi touch with a story that has everything from a strange virus that turn people violent and lose their humanity,to a a strange smartphone app that featured a group of five girls who speak directly to the protagonist, Minato Kamishiro, who is told to call for help if he ever needs to be protected.

Now, we have to wait to see how these games work with Switch audience.

I hope Steins;Gate Elite makes it to Switch. I'll happily buy it on Vita if it doesn't, but it'd be nice to have a version that can be played in loads of different setups, including with the Joy-Con detached and the Switch held like a tablet.

A Steins;Gate complete edition would be perfect
That's essentially what Steins;Gate Elite is supposed to be (an enhanced remake with major revisions and expansions, not that they've bothered saying anything about what any of those things are supposed to be, and likely won't until next week at the earliest). Not that any platforms were actually announced for it.
Are these visual novels always looking like soft porn?
Given how common (but not guaranteed) it is for VNs to have porn in them in PC releases before cleaner versions are ported to consoles/portables, it's not much of a surprise.

Rei Jin G Lu P sounds pretty interesting, but I'm not so sure about the other one. The trailer just seemed to be focused on a boob animations, which while titillating, doesn't really make me want to buy a game (but I'll be there day one for cute character designs). If they show off some cool story stuff later on I might change my mind.

I'm sure they will do well too, which will encourage other vn devs to follow suit. I'm excited! Both those titles sound good, hopefully the first one will get localized at some point.

Now VN on handheld can easily be enjoyed and accessible by more people around the world.

It's definitely the ideal platform on which to expand their market. A Switch can be taken anywhere, and quickly opened up - perfectly for breezing through a small bit of a VN not unlike a book. Plus they're not exactly demanding on horsepower, and so should run comfortably fine in even handheld mode.

Would have been better if she was holding joycons.

I like VNs so I'm happy some are coming to the switch. I'll look into this when I actually get the switch.

I'm really hoping that all visual novels released for the Switch can be playable in the tablet mode, without any controller or joy con.

It makes absolute sense since Vita is pretty much dead and there is still an audience for these games that has to go somewhere.

As Switch install base increases, some of the better AVNs might even have some legs.

God that first one sounds rad, I want that so bad. I love the "whodunnit" genre but theres not much out there, and the one big one imo went to shit.
