They could always, you know...license a fantasy track.

So... what's FM5's buzzphrase going to be at this E3, people?

I'm guessing it might be 'God rays' or 'native 1080p at 60 frames per second'.
"With procedurally generated god rays, coming straight from the cloud". I'm sure there's a stupid pun or two that will be dropped.

Will we be seeing more of FM5 in a few hours, or are they dedicating the time to other games?

We'll see it at the MS conference, no doubt about that, but I think there's also some dedicated FM5 in-depth thing shortly afterwards too. Remember seeing something about it yesterday.

Again Turn 10, if your game does indeed feature any of the big fan requests, please at least mention something about them in your segment.

I know devs have marketing guys planning out the release of info and media, but it's a little different now. Now, more than any other time, is the most important time to draw in the people. Now, more than ever, is the most opportune time let people know about big features in the game.

I'm not saying you have to spill the beans about everything, but at least say something to get us really hyped, because let me tell you, no matter how good your game looks, showing a few cars driving around Prague in the glorious sunshine just isn't going to cut it. It just isn't.

Turn 10, do us proud and have great show!

Goodbye Fanatec, Welcome Thrustmaster.

Well, that was it basically.

Now let us see that "beta" wheel on the showfloor.

No comment really.

BTW Car and wheel movements were totally off. And now I will quit because I will begin to sound like I am trolling.

Holy hell, that looked incredible. Early code obviously and a little rough in places (pop-in, especially in the mirrors but also trees etc) but it still looked orders of magnitude better than FM4. The reflections on the dirty windscreen were great.

And: HELICOPTERS.

Shame about wheel support. I'm missing this game already.

Beautiful.

Managed to miss the wheel bit on GT, anyone capture it?

Wasnt shown but mentioned it was in Beta.

I haven't given given up hope on Fanatec, because he was asked if there was a new wheel coming, and I dont think you would promote a wheel that wouldn't work wireless.

But im down to 10% optimism.

Ah OK, thanks. Game looks great though, new AI could make for a decent single player career mode, haters in the other thread can choke on my dick.

I'd kill to see existing tracks under the new lighting.

bahah cloud drivers will be like

first corner: Don't brake, crash into opponents

:)

yea... no... they will probably match the AI to the type pf experience that you drive....if you like smashing into people they will probably have your AI respond accordingly...if you like tight lines and challenging paint swapping you get that... clean racing as well (logical assumption)

game looks frigging phenomenal though... I am impressed and honestly at 1080p and 60fs was expected to be a little disappointed... I am not

I can't say I was really impressed by what they've shown... The cars and track look good but the lighting completely destroys it. It's WAYYYYYY to overblown, it crushes everything else. You are completely blinded by the Sun in some of those corners. I already didn't really like the lighting in FM4 and now it's even worse.

Any further details? Time etc?

I think 1pm EST on gamespots stage 2 channel

Isn't it in FM3 you can already face off against ghost of other players? And isn't the DRAVATAR the custom AI that races for you? I still don't see how these features are exclusive to the "cloud" when they have done it on the Xbox 360 already.

No mention of night or weather sounds suspicious, but damn it looked so great.
It's playable on the show floor from what I understand

Unsurprisingly, the game looks incredible. A bit too saturated, perhaps, but a substantial leap over FM4 regardless. The visuals in Forzavista, (available for all cars this time!), are nothing short of pornographic.

Open-wheelers, laser-scanned tracks (would love some clarification on this), dedicated servers, and the return of Drivatars have me on the verge of reserving the game and console for day one. Confirmation of Spa and a day/night cycle will seal the deal.

Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks. Some great news in there, but do we take this to mean no night, no weather? Not necessarily. I'm sure Turn 10 are keeping some things close to their chests.

During the interview with Geoffe he said there were some things they weren't talking about yet.
