Today i updated BF1, rocket league, GTA V and now FH3
 
Downloaded the update.

Jumped in game. Drove to Blizzard Mountain got all excited.

Had to then install another 4.4gb....


I just wanna skid.
 
Wow. This game is fucking nuts. The framerate is really rough tho :(

Geez Microsoft. I want to start the game and suddenly I find out it needs another 2.9GB update? Way to ruin my evening.

The patches on the Xbox are way too big. Recently I had to install a 5GB Gears 4 update even though I'm not interested in multiplayer.
 
FYI the Subaru BRT HE from the earlier Forzathon event is snow tires compatible. I've yet to find another XP HE car with that attribute.

At day and normal weather it is barely holding 50fps for me, when the snow storm comes it is a solid 60. Build is a beastly 4790K @ 4.5 GHz and OCed GTX 1080 so it will be worse on weaker PCs.
 
I don't know if it's my internet, my xbox or xbox live that's shit the bed but I'm struggling to get this patch downloaded.
11% in 40 minutes and now struggling to get over 400Kb/s
I've done all the usual workarounds and fixes :(

What settings are you using? I'm on a 6600K and a 1080, wanna know if I can leave my settings as they are.

Played it for the last hour and a half. Love it. Wish there were more roads. 50 seems low. But the actual land mass feels big. Would say it's probably around the same size as storm island. The star system for races reminds me of the system that was in FM6:Apex. Not the same but similar ideas. Happy with the purchase, hopefully the second part will be something as big and not just a Porsche pack.
 
My god this expansion rocks. That entrance into the area and I love the feel of the tracks thus far.

Performance wise its holding up for me, I haven't had any major drops in framerate so far even with the blizzard conditions. (980TI G1 Sli ( yes I know single GPU only :( ), 6700k @4.6GHz 16GB RAM)
 
I really like the Star system for races. Gives some events replayability and greater challenge. Also my Datsun is a beast without snow tires and all the other D class cars get nowhere close to me
 
Managed to download the patch, but I am getting an error message about XBox Live having issues. Anyone else getting that or do I need to restart my router or something?
 
I'm loving this expansion. Other games kinda took priority over Horizon 3 after I reached 25 million fans but this has me fixated
again.

Edit: It looks like the 'stars' in the events have taken a leaf out of Apex's book and it works perfectly for this game. I would honestly be happy if they added it to the whole game, not just Blizzard Mountain.
 
Yep, XBox Live account management including purchasing (which I do not even have to do since I own the Season Pass) is down, at least in my area. Damn it.
 
Purchased the Expansion Pass a couple of days ago, turned on my X1 just now and went to FH3 and there was a update about 2somthing GB (that must be the Blizzard Mountain DLC) got into the game, and was told that we have taken over a local snow park and to head to a location on the map, head there, press (X) to enter and I get a message saying that my X1 cannot retrieve the data from the market place, (check in the 'Marketplace tab in the game and it says I own this pass and DLC) so I go out of FH3 into the marketplace and to the Blizzard Mountain and it says I own this, so I click on the button and it starts to download and then install another 3somthing GB, so I have now wasted over a hour of game-time now :@

Not going to get chance to play this tonight now, isn't the X1 supposed to auto install DLC ect?

See my post above. I think it has to do with the authentication servers being down for some people. I got the update but I cannot do anything as I get the same message, and I checked the XBox Status page and it indicates services are down (at least for me).

Same here, getting a marketplace error after I've already downloaded it and in the game... ugh

I didn't see any surfer's paradise style slowdowns anywhere on the blizzard mountain map so far, but I also got a way beefy CPU that can take the city areas fine if I lower my gpu settings

Driving (a 200 hp Escort) without snow tyres is damn good fun.

Goddamnit Microsoft, where is Rallisport Challenge 3?! Driving on the mountain roads remind me of the snow stages in RSC2.
