i did the opposite. refunded the standard to get the premium . especially when i got it from third party sites for just 10$ more than the standard price they listing it at steam

I have no issues with the xbox store. never gave me any problem. and if i buy next gen xbox next year, ill get to play it for free. so either way win win situation for me.

Is the AUTO setting for DLSS frame generation on FH6 the new thing they were working on where it only generates how many frames you need for your target framerate or is that still not out yet?

Well optimized game. I thought my 4070ti was a 1440p card but DLSS has me at 4k with Ray tracing. Looks awesome.

Which means it's still a 1440p or lower card, not an insult.. my oc'ed 9070 is in the same boat with FSR4.1. My cpu is the bottleneck here.

Looks like the servers are being hammered, taking a little while go get into events that wasn't happening earlier in the day.
I've been seeing quite a few vids recommended from youtube of people that have never tried a Forza Horizon game giving it a try.
Seems to have really good word of mouth helping it to reach mass appeal.

If you see this Forza Edition Miata for sale on the map (it is the teal/white flower livery one shown in the trailers) buy it and max it out. It's a frikkin' blast to drive.

I'm slowly importing all my old liveries from the old Forza titles.

EDIT: Right now, there are server issues with the game so until things get ironed out the following won't work, curated and "My FM5 Vinyls" aren't populating.

I'm not sure if this has been covered already in the thread, but you can bring your old designs into Horizon 6 from Horizon 5. You have to make your entire car liveries into vinyl groups in Horizon 5, then share them in Horizon 5. After that when you apply a vinyl shape in Horizon 6, scroll all the way to the right with the R bumper to "My FH5 Vinyls" and hit Y to import all your shared Horizon 5 groups. Then you just need to apply them to your Horizon 6 cars and place them on the right sections of the car. Sometimes they don't line up quite right as many cars have been updated. Paintable windows makes the race liveries so much better so while it's a bit of a pain, it's better than starting completely from scratch like what happened going from Motorsport 4 to Motorsport 5.

Got to finally mess around with the game today.

Found a Ford GT while next to a beach

Decided to get an off-roader, so I went with a Ford Bronco, wood paneling edition

Otherwise, found out on my Logitech RS50 wheel I could enable Trueforce haptics on top of the normal force feedback. Just have to use the Simhub app, with the Trueforce-for-all plugin. Pretty easy to install, just in Forza itself "Settings > HUD & Gameplay" turn on telemetry to export to 127.0.0.1 + Port 8000, set the trueforce plugin in Simhub to port 8000, and turn off Logitech G Hub app since it interferes with the plugin. Should work on Logitech G923 or G Pro wheels as well, and I believe can work on Xbox if you forward it to your PC's local IP instead of 127.0.0.1. Adds some nice feedback for road feel, you can feel your shifts better, traction feedback is better, etc.

Anyone getting random two or three second hitches every couple of minutes? PC GP version. Happening at all settings. Plays smooth at all settings I've tested other than this random hitching.

Poached this amazing patriotic truck designed by another player from the auto-store for off road events.

But still rocking my main Mercedes for general exploration / street races.

Solved it. If you're also having this issue, turn off Vsync and uncap the framerate. Every issue I had disappeared instantly.

Playing with the GP version as I have one month left, yet I'm probably gonna buy the premium version on Steam and I just saw it allows for cross save! For the first time you won't have to mess with the files.

Technology.

Earned three stars for all events, collected every billboard and mascot, and found the last two roads to complete the map. If you have series fatigue, this really doesn't bring anything new to the table and you'll just be going through the motions. It continues the trend of preferring odd numbered FH titles to their counterparts, even if it is my favorite map of the even entries.

Can someone help, I hit the wall too much when turning. Either the wall or overdrifts. How do you do turns properly?

Edit: this isn't a troll Q, I'm that bad

Last forza horizon i played was first one and absolutely loved it. Then i switched to PlayStation. Now i have a pc that can run it at 1440p. Seems like the game is worth buying also.

Just pay attention to the driving line, when it starts to turn yellow going to red further along, you wanna start braking. Right when you hit the brakes, don't immediately turn really fast otherwise you'll spin out, just turn gradually or more as you slow down, and then when you've made most of the turn accelerate again.

You can over time get a car with better handling out of the box, or just upgrade one to improves its handling, usually with better grip wheels, increase the tire width, etc. to make cornering easier.

I am no expert at driving games, but I like to feather the brake and also tap the A button a little to engage the hand brake for some nice drifts.

When you say start braking you mean tap the brake or hold? Also do you ever let go of the gas, thanks

Edit: I see you say to accelerate after so you do let go of the gas

I ended up caving in and bought a code online for the premium edition for $90.

Kinda wish I had more friends, because I get simple amusement just seeing names I recognize on Drivatars...it's sad because at least 2 of the 8 people on my xbox friend list are dead :(

Its sometimes enough to just let go of the gas, and the line will go from yellow to blue without using the brakes at all. If you are heading into a corner and the line is turning yellow.

When using the brakes or gas, keep in mind the triggers literally act like pedals. Depending on the situation you have to balance the levels between them.

When the lines turn red, a full break is often needed, unless you can go late and ram into an opponent or use an e-drift, like a powerslide. E-brake is on the A button on XBOX.

Wait, what. Youve done all of this already?

It will take me ages to do all that, haha.

I wish Hyundai would sell a production version of this thing. It would probably be a $90K limited run electric thing if they did, but I can dream they would make a $25-$45K replacement for the Genesis Coupe with a standard drivetrain and a manual transmission.

A lot of the cars either have the same vinyl issues as the last several Forza games, or entirely new ones. The '57 Bel-Air doesn't let you paint on the windows and even worse it randomly applies the decals on the body to the windows. I would say I hope they get to fixing this, but they didn't last time so I don't have high hopes.

Turning off the "Skill" pop ups and the whole ANNA shit makes for a much better experience for those of us that don't need the brainrot notifications every 2 seconds.

Fun game but the soundtrack sucks major butt crack
Yeah the soundtrack is absolute wank. As are the cringe voiceovers, but we knew that this was going to be a wokefest before going into it.

Mute the radio, voices and get spotify or some other player on the go.

You can tap the break, if you can control it enough, but really it's just about taking a decent line, braking until you're at a speed you can control, and then going back on the accelerator when you're out of most of the turn.

The only reason to accelerate while turning if you want to enter a drift that you're comfortable controlling with the right amount of counter-steering, but you can look up how people tune cars to make that easier...or I think they have recommended tunes in garage upgrade menu that can help do it for you.

How do I setup renodx for Steam Version?

  • Download ReShade with Add-on support: ReShade_Setup_6.7.3_Addon.exe (Note: You must use the "Addon" version, not the standard one).
  • Download the RenoDX Add-on: renodx-forzahorizon6.addon64
  • Install ReShade: Run the ReShade installer, select the Forza Horizon 6 executable (ForzaHorizon6.exe), and choose DirectX 12.
  • Place the Add-on: Copy the downloaded renodx-forzahorizon6.addon64 file into the main Forza Horizon 6 installation folder where the game's .exe is located.
  • Configure: Launch the game, press Home to open the ReShade overlay, navigate to the Add-ons tab, and configure your RenoDX HDR settings. (there's only on/off for now)

Normally RenoDX will completely fix HDR on PC, but keep in mind the RenoDX mod for FH6 is in its initial stage. It already looks fantastic but is not finished.

V-sync is completely broken for me. 5800x3d+9070XT. I get occasional stutters at all settings at high speed especially during turns. RTSS didn't help either. Admittedly I'm sensitive to this so maybe other people wouldn't notice. I've only been able to produce 1 stutter-free benchmark run out of like 50 tries. On FH5 I could do it consistently. Not sure if this is a GP PC thing and the Steam version works ok? Because it's GP PC Adrenalin can't access it, even with Adrenalin Hook or the desktop shortcut add game method. I'm going to try it on my 5060 Ti 16GB tomorrow. It's not game breaking, but still is annoying.
