Hey indie folks (basically Gabbo and Toma :P), Parachute for Gordo remastered our EP so it's a bit louder and oomph-ier since the first release was a little weak in the volume stakes. It can be found, for free as always, at http://parachuteforgordo.bandcamp.com.

Ta!

Great stuff! Recording quality leaves a bit to be desired but the writing is there. Bought to support you guys. I know how scary it is to release something you've worked so hard on for months (or years) on end so it's the least I can do. Good luck to you guys!

Thanks very much man! Every sale means a lot to us, you made our day.

The lo-fi recording quality was almost an ideological choice for us, we had another band previous to PFG called Occasional Kings where we got mired in a recording black hole, it took us nearly three months to record a single track that pretty much killed the band. So this time round we wanted to do it as quick, dirty and live as possible. These songs were written and laid down in less than six months from the start of the band and we're all about forward momentum and energy over pure technical issues.

Our next record should be a little more polished though, we just had a producer contact us offering a pro-bono session because he digs the band so much (which really swelled my ego!). Gonna be a great year :)

listening to backyard right now dude and its fucking great. where the hell did all yall neogaf bands come from? we should have a fucking festival. im stoked to record soon to finally post in this

my friend describes us as "a punk arguing with a smiths fan."

A while back, Ed Harrison released the soundtrack he composed for the HL2 mod Neo Tokyo for free, it's a great cyberpunk-styled soundtrack and can be downloaded freely in full .flac quality at his site, though it's encouraged to buy it if you like it: http://ghostiq.com/neotokyo/

Yes it is. She puts out a lot of free music it seems

yeah you're right, I was watching her TED talk today and she mentioned signing with a major record label so I wasn't sure, but I just watched the talk again (it's really good) and I noticed she said they broke off from the label, so yeah they're indie.

Dont be surprised when seeing the record is from 2011. I listened to them on an off for 2 years now. They made a very fun, even though sometimes a tad simple, record. Too bad most wont give them the time of the day due to the language barrier. I dont understand much either, but its a highly recommended Dance/Indie/Pop record:

Feedback from another forum:

Some great stuff lately, Toma! Haven't nearly gone through it all yet, but I'm loving Euphony, BEST YOUTH, and Drive By Night. Especially those first two.

Men As Trees may not always be the most technically competent or have the best production but they're pretty great nonetheless, and their full discography is available for free.

Le Pré Où Je Suis Mort's s/t EP used to be available at Denovali for free as well, but it seems like it was taken down when it was sold-out. A shame since it's really good.
