It quite possibly is going to be the most surreal RPG ever, surpassing even the Mario RPG & Earthbound games. The pic of Link in drag really seals that.

No, the game was never canceled. No one from Nintendo ever said the game was canceled. It went through the completely standard process of a few months of silence following its first being announced, but that doesn't equal cancellation... and yet almost everyone on GAF assumed it was canceled, despite me repeatedly saying it hadn't been.

Hah, are you new? Before the Wifi Conference in November 05, everyone was saying FF3 was total vaporware. Then as soon as FF3 got shown off, everyone started calling Crystal Chronicles canceled (even though they reconfirmed in the exact same conference that the game was progressing). Right up until E3, people were persisting that CC was canceled in favor of SE just making a nice FF3.

Almost every single DS game that gets announced and then goes through the normal dev cycle has a horde of people claiming it's been canceled in the interim. It's annoying.

Seriously. Passing over Mother 3 was bad enough -- I can almost see their reasoning why, in wanting to kill the GBA in favor of the DS -- kind of. But if they pass on Tingle's Hand-Picked Rosey Rupee Land, I'm organizing a riot.

Yep, that's what I thought back on Page 1...

Wonder if anyone's working with Nintendo on this one (AlphaDream maybe?).

Would make sense, since they'll likely never do Tomato Adventure 2 and it's too early for M&L3 UNLESS they are busy on a new Hamtaro (proper DS one, not that spin-off from last year).
