This is one in Ottawa that's pretty funny:
Twitter has a bunch of photos of stores all covered up with signs mentioning the closure.
They seem to all be in Quebec as far as I can tell.
Yeah, I've been searching around too and came up with nothing.

Lots of cases of "oh, it's not on sale at Best Buy, let's try next door."
Aww man that sucks. Still, it's not as if Best Buy didn't offer the EXACT same deals/offers. Gonna miss the less heavily trafficked website though.
They'll probably turn into a Canadian Tire/Dollarama/Rona/etc
I just got my replacement card from them yesterday after they switched from Chase to Desjardins. Not sure what happens with that now.
My buddy works at the Yonge and Eg location and apparently that's moving over to a BB. Not a huge surprise but I'm really relieved to hear it all the same.
I'll give them a call via Skype in a bit, good thing it's the weekend. CanadaGAF expat here.
Wtf, the one in south Edmonton better be open today. I have a n3ds I ordered online with 4 dead pixels I need to return.
Looks like my coin flip paid off.
Really shitty news but I guess you could see it coming. Two exact same stores with the exact same prices wasn't going to stick around forever.
There was really no need to have both Futureshop and Best Buy. Wherever there's one the other is down the street and they're the exact same store.
They will be closed most definitely. A FS next to BB already closed a year or two ago in my city. What about all the Future Shops that are next door to Best Buys?
This is what I never really understood. Best Buy bought them out back in 2001, but kept the name and branding the same. They stocked the same products, at the same prices, and were almost always located within sight of each other. Really there wasn't much need to keep Future Shop open other than the illusion of competition, and name recognition. They probably realized now that name recognition doesn't mean much anymore, there's no sense in keeping up the illusion of two separate stores.
Same with where I live. My local FS isn't even remotely close to any BBs. Though I guess this could means it will likely be converted. This isn't the case in Toronto. Future shops and Best Buys are a pretty good distance from each other save for a few. If the Future Shop near me closes the next closest Best Buy is about 30 minutes away in the downtown core.
Same, in addition to Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror's Edge 2, The Witcher 3, and some others. MSRP is 74.99 now...Not my preorders! I had MGSV, FFXV and KH3 all preordered for 39.99 each!

Most areas that have a FutureShop that I've seen already have all of these stores nearby, not to mention Targets that are closing. The FutureShop in my picture is up the street from a massive Canadian Tire and Rona, near a Dollarama and a closing Target, close to a Walmart, etc.

I still have my KH3 preorder at Future Shop.
