Benchmark the DirectX 12 performance of your PC today with 3DMark Time Spy

We're excited to announce that 3DMark Time Spy - our new DirectX 12 benchmark test - has been released on Steam. Time Spy is available now as a free update for all Windows editions of 3DMark, including the Steam demo.

Developed with input from AMD, Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and the other members of our Benchmark Development Program, 3DMark Time Spy is one of the first DirectX 12 apps to be built "the right way" from the ground up to fully realize the performance gains that the new API offers.

DirectX 12, introduced with Windows 10, is a low-level graphics API that reduces processor overhead. With less overhead and better utilization of modern GPU hardware, a DirectX 12 game engine can draw more objects, textures and effects to the screen.

Start benchmarking with Time Spy

If you have the 3DMark demo, just download the latest version to get the Time Spy update.

If you bought 3DMark on Steam before July 14, 2016, download the latest version to get the Time Spy update or you can add it to 3DMark from the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark DLC page. The optional Time Spy upgrade unlocks additional features including Time Spy custom benchmark settings, the Time Spy Stress Test, and the ability to skip the Time Spy demo.

On July 23, the price of 3DMark will increase from $24.99 to $29.99. Until then, we have a special launch promotion offering 60% off the normal price.

Also, this is a really nice benchmark. Hearkens back to the many years of 3D mark benches. Lots of good memories in the museum scenes.
