Game Grumps (aka Egoraptor plays some games)

Man, they definitely could've labelled Wario Ware better there. They didn't differentiate that it was the Gamecube one in the title, and then they put Smooth Moves in the image for it. Oh well. A fun enough episode for sure.
 
I only just realized the horrifying implications of a bunch of ghosts in the backyard of the castle

Edit: Arin "horrible at games" Hansen and Dan "hasn't played a game since 1987" Avidan, lmao. Then that shot right after

Any time anyone complains about the grumps not being 100% pro at every game they play I just roll my eyes hard... Even then, Arin really isn't doing that bad of a job. He's not skipping around levels and only doing the easy stars and blowing through the game in 60 seconds... if that's what you're into their are plenty of speed runs for that.
 
SM64 can be pretty cryptic at times, too. Like, how are you supposed to know that you have to attack the Boo to enter the ghost level, especially since in every previous Mario game you can't even touch a Boo without getting hurt? There's probably a sign in the courtyard that says something about it, but you can't expect these guys to read anything.

Ross is my least favorite but I can't hate him. He's too cuddly or something. But he does work best with the right people. There's a reason "Goddammit, Ross" is a thing. lol

This is sorta how I feel about Barry. I feel like he tries too hard to be funny. Ross is a mischievous rascal so I'm fine with him saying stupid things.
 
Jesus Christ, please tell me Arin is trying to suck lately at games. Mario is painful to watch. Him yelling "oh god!" a million times gives me a headache. His schtick is so awful.

I get it... it's a thing to complain about people playing games on the internet not being ungodly pro... but if we're talking about tiring schticks, it's definitely that for me.

I never said anything about requiring him to be a pro... It seems like he's doing it on purpose since he's really laying his dumbass schtick on hard during this series. He did great on sunshine, there's no reason for the level of incompetence. He's not bad at playing for the most part but he's going into that explanation of family guy where after time they just become a bigger and bigger parody of themselves to get attention and it turns into an awful mess. I talky enjoyed the Kirby series still, this mario one makes me want to beat my head against a wall. They're funny but instead of letting it flow they feel the need to keep using these annoying characters and forcing shitty jokes.

Wouldn't anyone's first instinct would be to punch those blocks in the mine?

Also, lol at him forgetting there were coins inside the volcano.

I'm still trying to figure out if he legit doesn't know Shifting Sand Land exists.

And yet he's still honestly not doing that bad... There hasn't been an episode out where he hasn't gotten a couple stars per 12 minute episode... It's not as if he's not making progress, the complaints seem to be that he's not making the progress the way people WANT him to which is just silly.

Not only that, he's getting like 5 stars per level. Were people expecting a 120 star run on Gamegrumps? lol
 
They're promoting a Suzy video game channel now? *cringe* She makes sure to show her face the whole video too lulz. I think this is really starting to hit critical mass fast.

The Grumpcade concept and video did it for me. I still enjoy Dan and Arin but it feels...over-saturated? I don't know.

Suzy also has her actual channel, where her followers are mostly female.
I'm all for promoting more women getting into gaming, and if they like Suzy, they'll at least check out the videos. Suzy's fun, she's not the best at games, but nobody is. They're a group of friends (and a couple), not professional gamers. Suzy's followers are used to her face, Almost half the LP on youtube have facecams, all roughly the same size as hers. I don't see the issue.

That's the one thing I hate about grump fans, if anything. Everyone's so entitled and seems to love drama. If you don't like who's in that episode, just don't watch it. Some of us do. If you don't kike KKG, don't watch it. There are plenty of people that do.
 
Does the consensuses of this thread hate Suzy? I'm new here and I am just trying to judge if I will fit in.

Because I believe Suzy is to the Game Grumps as what Yoko Ono was to The Beatles.
 
I don't hate Suzy at all, I just don't think she's very funny so I tend to avoid watching episodes she's in since I watch it for laughs.
