If you buy the retail taken king or the 60 dollar downloadable version you will get all the previous dlc.So is TTK inclusive of content from the other previously released DLC for Destiny? Or would those expansions still need to be purchased separately?
This. Been playing since November, but all of this just makes me feel like Year 1 players were guinea pigs until Bungie got their shit together.
Same here. How hard is it going to be for me to pick up and jump back in? Should I start now?
Thank. You. This is what I'm thinking every time someone complains about being a ginea pig for Bungie in Year One. It's like the additions in TDB and HoW didn't happen or something.Sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. After putting more than a thousand hours into Year One, I feel I've gotten far more than my money's worth out of the experience.
Three maxed level characters, one of each class, every exotic in the game, all those moments anticipating Nightfall drops, and nearly 200 raid completions with my friends and the memories of our adventures... it's been an absolutely incredible year, and I'm very much looking forward to where our journey takes us next.
Groovy - thanks! If you buy the retail taken king or the 60 dollar downloadable version you will get all the previous dlc.
I may just start a new character and play from the beginning just to see what's new. Crazy.
I'm actually doing to do that, and I have a level 34 of each class right now. My Warlock is going to take one for the team so I can see what it's like going 1-40 under the new leveling systems, with new gear and quest lines.

It is? I've played Destiny and have no idea what that means =/

Same, I scrapped my warlock before HoW because I wanted a strangers rifle again. But after I got him to 20, I barely touched him.
Guess my warlock will just perpetually be destroyed and reborn.
Kind of fitting, for a Warlock.
Is the magazine in stores? Like can I go out and buy it today?

Is that the magazine? If so, I would remove that.
Many quit before that DLC came out.

I'm sorry but why is everyone jumping on the hype train because I sure as hell don't get it. They've legit gone out and said all of the shit you've grinded towards for a good year is going to be valueless come the 15th. They've offered only the vaguest of suggestions as to what they're going to be including that's going to be worth the 40$ they're asking. After the previous 30$ season pass bullshit they sold you on hype alone how are a lot of you guys still this gullible? I'm glad they're making long overdue systems improvements but it's utterly mind-boggling to me that it took them a year and a 40$ expansion to do so. In fact I consider these changes an insult to people currently playing because they handwaved these issues away for such a long time, and now that they're trying to sell you shit all of a sudden they're actual issues? WTF? I'm sorry but I'm still not seeing 40$ worth of content. All I've heard is, one new zone, 8 multiplayer maps, 4 strikes, and one raid. Oh and a new voice actor who's going to be working with the exact same shitty ass material the previous voice actor was working with.

If you're having issues finding people to play with on the PS4, may I suggest visiting the OT here if you haven't already:This is totally spot on. But I recently bought an Xbox One and I'm thinking I'd like to use this as an opportunity to transition to the other console (where more people I know play) without having to deal with the headaches I've put up with on PS4 that have made me a) want to play less and 2) not want to upgrade because I already spent $90 on the base game and first two expansions.
I didn't find anything, does anyone know if they mentioned how they will handle characters that are maxed out now and if they will move over at that level or go back to 20 and level up from there by way of XP instead of light?

I may do that too. Haven't decided on a class though.I'm actually doing to do that, and I have a level 34 of each class right now. My Warlock is going to take one for the team so I can see what it's like going 1-40 under the new leveling systems, with new gear and quest lines.
I have a lvl 27/28 hunter. Think I'll just stick with him, but I'm confused about where I'll be once I get the game this september? I got to level 24+ and stopped playing the game. Gonna preorder the console bundle.
If you start now you could probably get past 30 in a few days by doing vanguard rep and marks/crucible marks. Much much much easier than vanilla destiny. If you wait until the taken King you'll have to experience up. Gear is faster to get to 30 right now.Same here. How hard is it going to be for me to pick up and jump back in? Should I start now?
I don't get why you keep bringing up money though. FF14 is huge now, but if you were there since day one paying that monthly fee, you've spent a lot of money on it over the years. No is gullible, simply because you don't see value in something doesn't means others view are off.I'm sorry but why is everyone jumping on the hype train? Because I sure as hell don't get it. I don't have to do Raids anymore to get past 30? Hmmm..might jump in this weekend, was planning on getting a new PS4 to play with my wife though so I dunno. If you start now you could probably get past 30 in a few days by doing vanguard rep and marks/crucible marks. You do not have to do raids anymore. Getting to 34 is a bit different but I does not require you to use RNG to get that armor either. To get the materials necessary to get your 34 armor you'll need to do the "baby raid" of that expansion armor core would be your best bet. Someone else can explain that process I'm at work =P.I don't have to do Raids anymore to get past 30? Also why does the cover look like a fantasy game?
I mean, it looks very good, but I think I missed something. I thought this was generally more like sci-fi with some fantasy elements instead of the other way aesthetically.
Yeah there's a collectors edition that includes everything plus some goodies for 80 and there's a regular version for 60 bucks that just includes vanilla and expansions. The latter is retail only. This was my immediate first thought as well. It felt very reminiscent to Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen.
Still TKK is sounding good. I haven't bought Destiny so I may jump for this, does it include everything ala GOTY edition?

A revamped quest format adds story context and a natural progression path to old and new content. A newly recorded actor plays the Ghost from the beginning of the story to its conclusion.

Am I reading this incorrectly, or are they updating the base game to have more of a story?
If they are...OH MY GOSH.
It's absolutely unbelievable that, if I own the base game digitally, I can't upgrade to TTK for no less than 80 fucking dollars.Yeah there's a collectors edition that includes everything plus some goodies for 80 and there's a regular version for 60 bucks that just includes vanilla and expansions. •“All of the original mission have been reorganized, contextualized, and placed within a larger quest framework. Even older subclasses…have dedicated quest lins that explain their use and place with the world.”
What does this mean? How is this even a thing? I thought they removed the Cryptarch having a chance to give you more common items from rarer engrams ages ago.•the Cryptarch more reliably provides rewards that match the engrams you give him.
