GameCube US release schedule (08/01 to 12/31)

Semi off-topic: Does anyone else have doubts about Star Fox Armada making its release date? From what I gather, it still seemed like it needed a lot of work at E3. I know E3 builds are often old, but I would think Nintendo would want to have the latest one there, it being a relatively high-profile Fall/Winter release.

I hope it's delayed in order to take the majority of the ground-based missions out. :)

The space level that was shown was supposed to be very good indeed. More of that and less of the ground based and we'll be fine, still I agree that it won't hit this year. No definite date in the US or Japan.

why would it be bad ??

why would what be bad? PAL always gets the shaft from Nintendo on release dates, Mario golf was delayed by over 6 months from memory, I'm just curious as to how bad it will be for something I am looking forward to so much.

How the fuck is Armada 2 - Star Command still on GCN release lists?

I'm a bit surprised by how many RPGs I'll be picking up for the Cube by year's end.

Mejilan

Running off of Custom Firmware
Paper Mario 2, Baten Kaitos, LotR- The Third Age, PSO Ep I&II Plus, and (if it makes it) Fire Emblem. And I guess you could say it started with Tales of Symphonia, my first GCN RPG in forever.

And I'm still back and forth between Mega Man and XMen, which might be decent.

Oh yeah. I forgot about BK and the third party stuff. I don't think Fire Emblem will make it out this year though.

And I can't believe you never bought Skies of Arcadia Legends. Do you at least have the DC game?

Skies of Arcadia Legends is one of my favorite games, and yes, the Cube version. Purchased the very day it released in America. I didn't say that these would be my FIRST GCN RPGs, I've got a couple besides. I'm just saying, that between ToS and the rest of the RPGs coming out this year that I plan to get, I'm surprised by how many of them are on the Cube.

2005, I believe.

You're correct. Although I don't see why Capcom doesn't release the sequel for the GC this holiday season, seeing as how RE4 has been delayed. I believe the game will be complete by then, & I personally feel the original will pull a BG&E this holiday season for the PS2. (great game, lackluster sales) Too much HUGE franchise competition, it may even sell less than it's GC counterpart. (Madden '05, NFS:U II, GT4, MGS 3, PoP 2, etc.)

None of them full price though, I just don't do that. Which of course means I'll be getting older, $20 games I don't have yet.

Oh, and what is so special about Donkey Konga? I don't get it.

No, what about my post necessitates that I have?

I told someone else that it's something that they had to play. Turns out he bought the import and didn't find it to be anything special. Thought you were him.

But like I said... It's something you have to play. Like Taiko, the concept doesn't sound all that great, but when you get a chance to have a go at it, it's pretty fun. Not for everyone though, I guess.

I personally played "Rock this Town" about 5-8 times at E3 (and spent hours at the Namco booth playing Taiko). It was addicting.

11/15/2004 - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

12/06/2004 - Mario Tennis

Those are pretty well the game that I WILL be buying at some point...granted, I will be choosing one of Pikmin and DOR to buy now and one to wait until Christmas or later, and I will be grabbing Paper Mario 2 at launch while Metroid waits until Christmas...

And yes, I included the regular GameCube platinum controller. I'm too cheap to buy a second WaveBird for my fourth controller, and would rather pick up a platinum controller for $25 Canadian than a Platinum WaveBird for $40.

Buy it as BB and use the Gamer's Gift Card trick to save another $5.

Why is it that people are so anxious to delay RE4 and Geist, but now want to move Mario Tennis and Fire Emblem to this year?

I really do hope T3: Redemption is good. It's about damn time we were given a good Terminator game that can take advantage of the current gen's power.

I didn't see it on your list, but if that comes true (which seems unlikely) I'm all over it.

I'm pretty sure its a Guaranteed 2005 release...but that's another option for Nintendo, if they can push Capcom to deliver VJ2 in Late November/Early December it'd be a powerful time exclusive.

If I can find time between all the PS2 and Xbox games I'm buying, then I'll buy Metroid Prime 2 for sure. Sucks about StarFox's delay though, why couldn't they just kill those on foot missions and just release this game as a space shooter,as it used to be?

Nintendo and their maximing profits crap, just release the freakin' game already. I'd easily settle for a short but fun StarFox game like StarFox 64 was.
