Gears of War 3 "Dust to Dust" trailer

Beast mode looks like fun.

I wonder if that will work better with randoms on xbox live. Horde sort of fell apart if you weren't talking to the people on your team.
 
Who gets the first early review anyone know? Usually publishers/developers are fine with an early review or two if they are super praising scores.
 
Quick question: I participated in the Beta and got a few unlocks, but then I stupidly bought a new 360 and completely forgot to transfer my Beta save data. Am I boned in terms of the unlocks?

If you didn't transfer over your data i wanna say yes, as it it's not something recorded online then downloaded.

Could be wrong, don't think i am though.

If it's not erased, just get a memory stick and quickly transfer the beta save file and stick it in your new xbox.
 
Yeah, if you didn't keep your beta data, you're not getting any of those unlocks. The only one you might be able to claw back is the gold Retro for Veteran Gear.

I know I can boost 2.0, it's the other two I need to finish. Tips on solo, or anyone wanna help?

Well, unfortunately, you're speaking to an idiot, mang; do that, I did not. The data is on a 20gb hard-drive in an EB somewhere.

And I definitely did not get the Gears Veteran achievement.

Oh, well! Lesson learned.

You know what, I was going to give up playing the multiplayer for Gears 2 for this last upcoming week, instead I'll just use that time to get the last achievements I need. Anyways, this is the last Horde achievement I'm missing and I'm down to do it any time. Don't know which map would be better to do it on though, there's Courtyard, Grindyard, Fuel Depot and Underhill.

The anticipation is really getting to me now. Been playing Gears for the last couple of days. Finally I'll get the sequel I've wanted since 2006.

I'm watching it anyway. I already saw the ending in the leaked footage anyhow. It won't make my playthrough any less fun. Plus I don't really care about the GOW storyline that much anyway to be honest.


It's not the end, end anyway. I think it's close to it though.

I watched the ending, and it ended most of my OMG hype, still cannot wait though, gonna be sweet.

The leaked ending isn't going to be the ending that will be in the final game.

It is actually 4 parts. I watched it too but I am waiting for the Gears spoiler thread to discuss things there.

Now is the time to go on media blackout for Gears 3 everyone.
 
I pretend to myself that I don't care about the story but it does add a lot of the enjoyment for me when I'm waiting for the game. I know the end's coming the more I play but I don't know what it is. Despite the hate for the Gears characters on GAF, I really like them and it'll be genuinely sad if any of them die, which I kind've know they might.

Gonna be a wreck if Cole gets it. My hero. In the flesh baby.

Couldn't agree more. Gears 1 had some great moments that actually made you jump a bit. When Dom first breaks you out of jail and that first door you open just has hanging corpses, when the Berserker first busts through the wall, when the kryll first start attacking and swarming the stranded, etc. All great horror elements that really kept you on your toes. Gears 2 really got away from that and went for more of a story-based approach and large scale battles. You didn't have that same claustrophobic feel from Gears 1 because more times than not you were in wide open spaces with tons of other people.

Right up out of the hellish abyss that is Gears of War 2, and up into the glorious heavens of Gears of War 3, now that I have my wings :)
 
Fucking modem has been fucked all day. Somehow got it to work (not for long...).

Anyway, have to deal with Comcast tomorrow...ugh. This should not interfere with getting the OT up. I'm so pissed since I had/have a lot of important shit to do. Plus, I still need my wings. What a pisser.

God damn...
