Are Quicklooks technically Previews? >_>

Night in the Woods has a lot of that extremely annoying quirkiness.

That game feels like it went out of its way to hit my annoyances - animal heads on characters, writing that thinks its a lot funnier than it is, and cutesy fake operating systems.

Genuinely can't tell if this is actual Mass Effect footage or Source Filmmaker porn. Help.

Well it's certainly on par with the caliber of animation you'd expect from SFM porn :p

Hearing Dragon Age Inquisition and Halo 4 comparisons about Mass Effect Andromeda...that's not great.

The scary thing is Giantbomb's not the only one to make the comparison. Spent the evening scouring through every preview I can find and a lot of them mentioned the DA:I similarities and performance issues.

Mass Effect QL when

I've been staring at this for five minutes trying to figure out what emotion they were going for with his face and...still nothing.

Lololol. The new Zelda game has
towers
.

"...So nowadays, I actually play a lot of overseas titles," Aonuma says. In research for Breath of the Wild, Aonuma played games like Far Cry..."

Towers aren't inherently bad. Some Ubisoft games go overboard with the loop of enter new area, find tower, fill map with icons, repeat.

My problem with towers aren't the towers themselves. Climbing a challenging tower in AC can be fun. What I dislike about them is filling up the map with icons representing boring side activities that only exist to boost playtime.

I wouldn't be too worried about the towers, the previews are overwhelmingly positive. Like crazy, so glowing you'd think it's hyperbole positive. Kinda making me want a Switch 😬

Previews are excited about a Zelda game.

Truly surprised.

I look forward to Brad trying to put Far Cry 5, Shadow of Mordor 2 or Mass Effect multiplayer above it during the GOTY podcast.

It wouldn't be surprising if it's hyperbole, but at the same time as a massive Zelda fan, I'm as susceptible to judging Zelda games on a curve and it's all very exciting. Like how Hyrule Warriors is the most I got into a Musou game since Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

Which these towers don't do.

The Far Cry 2 comparisons came about because this game has the potential for play and experimentation in a way most open world games, Ubi or not, don't. The physics and accompanying abilities, the goofy 'everyone has their own experience' encounters with enemies, etc. Seemingly (hopefully) without most of the frustrations of FC2, though.
