Oh so they did do Unprofessional Fridays, more Rogue Legacy stuff and Patrick is chugging along with his Worth Playing and Spookin with Scoops.

No one should be complaining about content anymore.
 
So how is Brad managing to stream Rogue Legacy to Patrick fast enough that there's no delay between what Brad is seeing and Patrick is seeing?
 
Do you have a tablet or smartphone? Gaintbomb video buddy always works perfectly when I have trouble accessing the site.

I'm not really having any trouble with the site's video player now though.

Nah I'm on my mac using chrome.

It more to do with the video CDN. I've had this problem since they moved to cbs. Sometime I can stream HD files from them then, other times I have to download the medium quality files and wait two or three hours. Today is one of those times.

Yup. I now just subscribe to feeds in iTunes, let them download, and watch them later. That way I can watch at higher quality and not wait for the buffering. The switch impacted me, but this lets me get around it since it seems like a non-priority for them since people have been complaining for so many months.

Yeah. But how do you choose what to download?

I just want to download TNT, Spookin and UPF in HD. The other videos I would rather watch on youtube.

lol, yup. I use a Mac program called Hazel that lets you set up really simple folder rules, and one of them is that whenever something downloads into one of the Giant Bomb podcast folders in the main iTunes Music folder, it moves it to the desktop and plays a sound so I know something was downloaded. I then have a few other filters that automatically delete content I don't want, like the Daily Dota and that wednesday show they cancelled. I'm subscribed to Features, Quick Looks, Subscribers, and Endurance Run. I guess if I had a metered bandwidth, this setup wouldn't work since I'd be downloading some things I don't want (like the Daily Dota), but for me, it works.
 
The problem with the feed is that they haven't added a "low" quality feed. Instead you have to choose between "high" and the postage-stamp mobile quality feeds... and I'm just not interested in downloading a few gigs every day for video content.

I've never bothered to look, but you're right on those file sizes. An hour of video is as follows:

HD - 2GB
High - 1GB
Mobile - 350MB

And, Medium - 500MB (not an RSS option)
 
Just started UF and Drew's tales of a free-to-play IL-2 game done by the Rise of Flight devs is super exciting. I wanted to like World of Warplanes and War Thunder but they're too arcadey, I hope it delivers.
 
Damn, my subscription lapsed today. They didn't even send me an email, those jerks!

I saw the quicklook and thought i was going to like it

bought it during the steam sale, thinking I was going to like it

started playing it, 9 hours in the first sitting


i'm completely in love.
 
I bought the entire Thief series, Psychonauts, FTL (which I already finished lol) and System Shock 2, as well as CS:GO. Note that 3 out of 4 of those are older games and the other is based on an older game.

today's the 27th, and I can still access premium content just fine.

Thing is: I dont (nor did yesterday or for the last month) have credit on my debit card.

did it automatically renew? am I gonna be backcharged? or is it just that it might take a bit (a day) to revert to non-premium?

I think i've been backcharged since I was at 0 balance so now im at a negative :/ i'll need to head to the bank and sort it out I guess

I'm sorry to hear this salsashark :( As an uruguayan you're probably paying the more for the content than anybody else.
