I've never bothered to look, but you're right on those file sizes. An hour of video is as follows:

HD - 2GB
High - 1GB
Mobile - 350MB

And, Medium - 500MB (not an RSS option)

Yeah, "Medium" used to be "Mobile"/low, but that got changed after they upgraded the video player.

I asked Dave about it back when he was at GB, and he said it wasn't a priority. I assume it's just completely forgotten. So, I'd rather go with Mobile lest I download a 3-4 gig Daily DOTA file that I don't want to watch.

Poor Gran Turismo barely getting a mention in the iracing quick look. Forza this, Forza that!

Game looks neat but that subscription/car modeling just seems so absurd. I suppose it's for a very specific audience, and in order to keep the online limited to people who truly care but wow. The amount of detail in the simulation model is truly incredible though.

I'll probably try a month when my Rift comes in.

Edit: Wow at the server costs.

As someone who does't play and likely will not - that DOTA QL was pretty good. I am glad that it was Vinny at the controls and although Jeff was playing up the snark at the beginning even he seemed to take an interest about half way through.

I think the dota ql was pretty unrepresentative of the actual game. They did a great job showing off the client and the store and tutorials, but they didn't even show the actual game (except for what watching a live bit for all of a minute or so?). Daily dota does a good job of that but that's premium content right? I dunno, it was just odd.

I hope Brad does something for the international. Attempt to cast one of the games or something.

Oh shit, just watched the Mercenary Kings QL.

How did I not know about this game? It has three of my favourite things: Metal Slug, damage numbers and crafting loot.

I've never bought an Early Access game before - what should I expect? Is the game basically all there but they're still adding levels/tutorials?

Is the site extremely slow for anyone else?

It doesn't even load for me right now, and can't watch anything via the Video Buddy app.

This is the best thing ever.

Was that premium show a free for everyone deal or something? Kinda crappy for someone to upload an hour of premium content on youtube if not.

Yeah I saw a bunch of clips on YouTube from UPF like the Lego Island and Bioforge. Pretty shitty. Especially since they aren't recut like the quick look best ofs and are just whole segments uploaded.

Anyways, glad to see the guys back. Didn't think an UPF would be up for anther week. As a guy who recently broke his hand I really apperciate these guys jumping back into things. Been so bored.

Dota quicklook was so painful, I can't believe people play that over LOL, I swear if it didn't have the valve name noone would.

So after catching up with Spookin' today I was compelled to play through both episodes of The Last Door. Thankfully I only watched part of Patrick's play through before taking it on myself, so I got to that moment on my own.

I fully recommend both episodes. Ep 2 is currently pay what you want, but will be free some time in September when ep 3 comes out.

Yo. How do I ask Jeff shit on Tumblr?

He has redirected his blog to Tumblr and every time I go to ask him a question, Tumblr wants me to login. I'm already logged into Tumblr.

Watching these old TNT's and other Live Shows made me realise how fucking much I miss Ryan. I never really got to me until now.

Same. I have looked at some older videos because the headline sounded interesting (or I just wanted to re-visit it), and then I heard Ryan's voice and everything just sort of came rushing back.

I'm glad that the site is moving ahead though with all of the content they are putting out. I feel like it's a really important step forward; for themselves and for everyone who visits the site.

I'm assuming it's been stated, but people on Summer Games Done Quick are donating money to Doctor's Without Borders, and there are some donating in Ryan Davis' name. It's just to name the file in Dark Souls in his name. Would have been cool to see Ryan actually play the game all the way through.

Edit: As far as Live Shows, it's not gonna be TNT without Ryan really. He always hosted the thing and had way more enthusiasm than Jeff, who's best traits are always more along the lines of sarcasm and wit (and expressions on his face).
