Watching the Puppeteer Quick Look. Is it really true that the heads don't give you special abilities? They just give you different idle animations and open up secrets?

I haven't watched the Quick Look yet but google brought me to this page which says this:

Kutaro can collect more than 100 heads in Puppeteer, from the Hamburger head to the Lion head. But none are more valuable than the Hero Heads, each of which bestows Kutaro with a powerful new ability that you’ll keep for the rest of the adventure. The Knight Head will enable you to deflect incoming projectiles with the Shield Power — a useful method for dealing with some of Puppeteer’s massive bosses.

So it looks like some heads are just collectibles while others give you permanent powers.

I remember that time when GB still did that weekly release show, and Brad was playing Trials and couldn't get past this one jump, then Ryan asked for a shot and did it his first time. Oh man Brad was salty.
