A couple of kind gaffers tried to get me in via the sharing loophole but that appears to be closed, if actual invites exist I'd be most grateful.

Hopefully it is automated - so that the people you have added to circle but don't have an account get one as soon as they are available.

2. Don't post your email publicly if you don't want spam

Oh god. Not surprised. People were selling Gmail invites when it first started too. I think the highest I saw for Gmail on Ebay was $50.

alright, you 3 monkeys on this page that publically posted your email with an @gmail.com address (sorry hotmail.co.uk guy, get out of the ghetto, it doesn't work like that with the invite trick)

I've done the thing that was getting people in this afternoon Eurotime. you'll get an email like this

not sure this still works fellas, click the 'view this post on google+' option or whatever and it should allow you to activate. Or at least that was the case this afternoon.

If its not still working well then, I'm rich and you're not hahahahaha.

ok well I tried. what happens now, you get bounced to the 'let me know' screen? it worked as little as 3 hours ago I think.

Yeah, that article is awful. By their logic, google shouldn't do anything, ever. Even stupider that they are knocking them for taking advantage of their biggest asset: search. Why wouldn't they tie the two thing together?
