Works for two accounts I have tried just now.

One didn't even get an invite (used the forwarding method).

Haven't read much into the whole Google+ thing, I just went on to the site and put down my name and email. Anyone know if they're going out now? how long is it going to take? If anyone is willing to send an invite my way, that would be cool. I'm in no rush to try this right now.

You're not doing anything wrong, just try it again later.

So here is what I did to get someone in.

1. Added there email address to a circle.
2. Posted within that circle.
3. Then went to google plus and were in.
Now, idk if I had to do step 1 and 2 for him to get in. This was just a few minutes ago btw.

I got added to someone's GAF circle I think and got the post in my email, but I still can't seem to access google+.

I think they have to try periodically. No one knows when Google opens it up, but some of my friends have been able to join today.

invite emails using the share/post loophole are taking a hella long time.... about 12 hours to process and go through.

even then, it's probably not going to work. google really clamped down on invites in the last day or so.

So I got the invite, and I can see some of the invitee's content, and I can tinker with my profile, but.... it doesn't give me any access to Google+ features. People are blogging that all loopholes to get invited have been closed, which would explain things.
