I'm not seeing the problem with load times people are complaining about... they're better than GT imo.

I get annoyed at GT because most races are only a lap or two... which makes you have to switch the track often. So it can seem like there's a lot of loading. But the actual load times for a track aren't obnoxious. Nothing about the game is obnoxious.

What's the most realistic/best Force Feedback setting for the G27? And why is this game so awesome?

Well I have g25 and I found the default of 5 to be way to strong/unrealistic. I tried 4 and was happy with that, still a bit strong but much better. I might try 3 later on .. but that might be too weak.

I've also got the steering set to pro, It's just what seems to feel best ... though I have no idea what the steering settings actually do. Anyone know?

So I just found out that there is NO OPTION to disallow tuned cars in online racing. We had a race going on, limited to Audi R8 or BMW M3 and some guy came in with a fully tuned M3 and obviously smoked us. I was baffled and asked him, he told me he was able to use his career mode M3. THERE IS NOT WAY TO RESTRICT THAT. FIX THAT SHIT POLYPHONY. What a great way to ruin the balance.

FF is purely a personal preference. But you generally want it to be at least at 5. Just test that and the higher levels to see which one you like best.

if you have a sony bravia a newer one anyways. head over to the av forums for settings. i have a ex500 1080p 120hz, and i use sharpness 5. should not be higher than that for most modern lcd's.

edit: technically should be 0, as sharpness is legacy crt bs. but, somehow having it up a tad helps for menus and such

Only played for an hour today. Completed the 90's Japanese challenge with my Lancer Evo IV, which I tuned a bit (more hp, less weight). Feels much better now, even though it was only 30hp extra an a slight weight reduction. Then I also did a few license tests.
Going to try B-spec next time!

I have read that setting de DFGT in proffesional or simulation doesn´t make a difference because those options are only for old wheel models. Is this true ?. Makes the change really a difference?. What about "assisted driving steering"?. Makes turning the wheel less hard?.

same here.

I'm playing at 720p on a 50" screen. my head is around 7 feet away. I can't see jaggies during gameplay.

I see a little tearing (only a little on the non city tracks.) and the shadows are ragged, but I don't see really rough aliased edges while racing.

And i rally like how upgraded the London track is, visually. it's brighter inside the car, colors seem more vibrant and i think they changed the time of day a bit as it's not as shadow heavy.

Severance blade of darkness got them 10 years ago with a TNT 2 ( Castlevania lord of shadows creators by the way ). I tend to think today´s algorithms for shadows are under-studied...

I got it to work very well, but head tracking is not as exciting as I thought it would be. Maybe if they patch it to work in GT mode I will give it another chance.
