Why couldnt the entire game look like this lol. This looks next gen as fuck.
I don't know what improvements they have made since shadows but the game seems to use more stylized visuals and more vibrant color tone, which, mixed with the water, looks more pleasing, perhaps. Shadows had a much bigger budget, and I feel it is more consistent and more detailed from what I've seen so far. Also lets see if this has the same granular destruction as shadows, which allowed you to cut multiple bamboo shoots and vegetation, etc. I feel shadows gets overlooked due to his more subdued and muted tone, which comes across as more boring to many.Yes, if you compare Promotional material for both black flag are far better, and we all know how shadows turns to be one of best looking titles this gen by the time of it's release ,also Black flag use upgraded anvil engine and from those videos they already shared it's looks better for me
I think it's more the stylized visuals and more vibrant color tone, which, mixed with the water, looks more pleasing, perhaps. Also, not sure if this has the same granular destruction as shadows, which allowed you to cut multiple bamboo and vegetation, etc. It's more stylized, but it clearly has a bit more going for it than Shadows. It's an upgrade for sure.
It's insane how much effort they put into the visuals and how little effort they put into the cutscenes and storytelling. Just garbage all around. I appreciate Massive trying to do single player games, but you need to get the cutscenes right. This game looks a generation ahead of Death Stranding 2, but two gens behind in cutscenes. This simply should not happen.Bought SW Outlaws Gold at a good discount, it's a gorgeous game with gorgeous lighting, but man is it still full of bugs. It's just short of being one of the best visually if not for the issues.
I don't understand Ubi man, they're just content with being mediocre, decent or just good enough. They just don't want to make an effort to polish things a bit.

yep. i think the more vibrant color tone is making it pop more. there were certain times of day/weather/season where Shadows could really pop too but due to the dynamic nature of the weather system, it wasnt as consistently bright and in your face.I don't know what improvements they have made since shadows but the game seems to use more stylized visuals and more vibrant color tone, which, mixed with the water, looks more pleasing, perhaps. It's a mixed bag all around. The highs are fantastic like shown on the other thread, but it also doesn't have a lot going on. Compared to Bananza and MK World though? A gen ahead easily.Thoughts on Star Fox? Looks like a PS3.5 game to me.
Yeah, but even on the visual side, it can easily be on top of everything. I mean with RTXDI every light casts shadows and emits the light on surfaces, even those little buttons, it's insane.Thoughts on Star Fox? Looks like a PS3.5 game to me.

In terms of gameplay, i was shocked at how basic it was. Both Avatar and Outlaws feel like ps3 era games. I am pretty down on ps4 feeling Sony games this gen, but i never expected to play ps3 era gameplay this gen.
I mean, this is either bait or you suck at looking at things. I'm betting on bait though, lolThoughts on Star Fox? Looks like a PS3.5 game to me.
I'd be shocked if they have none of the destruction physics in there. Seems like an easy win, as it's literally the same engine with even more upgrades and optimizations, for a game that's a bit narrower in scope and size.I think it's more the stylized visuals and more vibrant color tone, which, mixed with the water, looks more pleasing, perhaps. Really like the look of this. Decent asset quality, great lighting and im loving the color grading in this one. Seems like the best looking RGG title, most likely their highest budget title aswell, atleast it looks like it
