Don't jinx it! Even if I read that and I know it's a joke, my heart skill skipped a beat. You made me a sad panda. Must get beer for consolation.

In an alternate reality I would love to see that announcement just to see this place explode :lol

ps: That DNF R8 pic is brilliant :lol

No it isn't.

He's comparing a measly 5 years with three playable demos, twice as many demo pods, a dozen trailers, hundreds of screenshots and a goddamn Prologue game to 13 years of absolutely nothing.

Serious Question.

Why is it that other games can take 6+ years to develop with no vaporware/end of the world/giving up on buying it/blah/jokes...

And GT5 is in the can, with sorta above and beyond featuresets/as well as its clear they have a reputation for taking a while... and its nothing but comments about it never coming out?

Whats the difference between Game A. Taking 6 years, and PS3 Game B taking 6 years?

During the time, the dev's have made 2 retail releases.. with a substantial difference from the previous version of the game. Resolution, car count, first time functionality for the series etc...?

- It's exclusive
- It's on PS3
- "Some" devs/community managers decided to started a bitch slap war with some sad comments that lightened up the forums.

Because we want it now! :D

I still can't believe this hasn't come out or that there isn't at least a solid release date. I feel like this is some sort of bizarre dream. Good thing I stopped getting frustrated in 2008, because I would be livid right now otherwise.

one part of that video shows that it's the final lap and he's still at 12/12 place... dose he suck at the game???? *runs...
I think I know the answer.

Since everyone has complained how the A.I. in GT5 sucks so hard, they've cranked it up to maximum difficulty.

I've rarely seen anyone in first place in any of the GT5 videos. Most of them are in the middle or towards the end.

Because it was announced so long ago.

some interesting stuff from the latest interview

- He mentioned something about GT5 featuring an Auction house that will enable players to get hold of rare cars (rare cars probably means GT5 cars that are only available in other regions).

- Again he has confirmed that GT5 will feature 20 Tracks.

- Day & Night has been confirmed but not all tracks will have it which means there'll be no dynamic Day & Night cycles (but there's still a possibility)

- There's going to be new updates for Prologue up until GT5's release.

- There's going to be support for microphones during online play.

- He said that Pit crews will be fully implemented and ready in GT5 when it releases.

- The game will have region specific cars (as I said before the Auction feature is most likely there to get hold of these cars)

not sure how plausible the translation is but still

i knew the night on all tracks was fishy

What latest interview is that?

20 tracks or 20 locations?

Considering the first time we got the "location" word we also got 75 "layouts", I'm pretty sure it's actually locations and not tracks.

Nothing solid from the GTplanet thread either so basically we got nothing new from that interview.

So Prologue is set to receive an update if the translation is correct. I hope this doesn't affect the release date of GT5 else they would be dedicating resources for this update which could otherwise be used to make ze game!

doesn't it always receive updates with the online events

updating prologue with cars/tracks/improved online functionality doesn't bode well for gt5

bullshit translation

Pretty much, all we'll get is some events.

Maybe it´s an update to make the cars of GT5P transferable to GT5?

Considering how long it has been since the last update, it seems kind of fishy getting an update at this time. Maybe they will offer a deluxe demo/beta of GT5 to the Prologue owners?

I would like that. :D

You picked this up from GTP, where a guy translated it from Japanese to English and then by voice gave it to another guy that gave it to GTP in broken English text. :lol

Well, GT5 was announced a long time ago, it feels like they're releasing more and more and more awesome media, that makes us like "do want!", everybody but normal people (read: fans) gets to play the fucking demos (SLS/ring demo for example), yet we still don't have a release date and it feels like we don't know a thing. The interviews with Kaz don't help either, because they're poorly translated, everything gets mixed up and in the end, we still don't know a thing or what to believe.

And believe me, GT5 isn't the only game, that's treated like that. *looks at StarCraft 2/Diablo 3*

Oh lawdy broken translations and hype which simply cannot be matched by the final game. What a show will be when
if
the GT5 blowout takes place next month.
