What exactly is the track and what is the location in Polyphony Digital language?

I dare you to translate :lol
Well you'hope it's locations and that means a fuckload of tracks at each, because 20 tracks is ridiculously low

Yeah. Wonder if they're referring to reversed tracks.

For example, 20 venues, both directions, may = 40 "tracks" etc..

I think we will only be getting 20 tracks TOTAL.
Remember Squarenix HD towns?? Yeah, same principle.
It doesn't make sense how you can get 75 layouts from 20 tracks. Hopefully its 20 locations.

20 locations could mean 20 "countries" where particular tracks are located (Japan, USA, Italy, notice that even "original/fictonal" tracks have country where they fictionaly exist - SS routes are in Japan, Grundenwald was in Switzerland, Red Rock Valley in USA, Deep Forest in Germany if I remember correct and so on..)

20 locations could mean "20 locations" where location represent the unique location of the particular track (Fuji, Suzuka, Trial Mountain, Pikes Peak..) and where variations are represented.

20 tracks could mean particular track without layout options (Suzuka GP, Grand Valley Speedway, just that particular track)

20 tracks could mean particular track with layout option (reverse, short, west, whatever).

Polyphony Digital's language is very difficult to understand :D

- Day & Night has been confirmed but not all tracks will have it which means there'll be no dynamic Day & Night cycles (but there's still a possibility)
I'd just like to point out it wasn't said that only some tracks would have it, the guy relaying the info just pointed out that Kaz never said if all tracks would have night or not.

This is what he said on GTPlanet, "Day night races confirmed again not all tracks said", notice how he says again, because it wasn't stated either way.

- He mentioned something about GT5 featuring an Auction house that will enable players to get hold of rare cars (rare cars probably means GT5 cars that are only available in other regions).

- Again he has confirmed that GT5 will feature 20 Tracks.

- Day & Night has been confirmed but not all tracks will have it which means there'll be no dynamic Day & Night cycles (but there's still a possibility)

- There's going to be new updates for Prologue up until GT5's release.

- There's going to be support for microphones during online play.

- He said that Pit crews will be fully implemented and ready in GT5 when it releases.

- The game will have region specific cars (as I said before the Auction feature is most likely there to get hold of these cars)

Please let there be just an auction house in general. Its a great feature, srsly

"tracks" smh translator. locations damnit!

I'm not surprised that day & night wont be available for all tracks. I still hope for a day/night cycle on 24hr endurance races though ;_;

Prologue update you say? :D

Can care less for mic support(though good news for others). I'll be too focused racing and would rather not hear some 11 year old fuckwad screaming stupid shit.

As long as pit crews dont stand around like in other games *cough*, thats cool I guess.

Region specific cars? oh boy...

You lucky euros can go to your local Mercedes dealership and drive the SLS on Nurburgring in GT5. Starting in May now.

1000 is not good enough for you? O.O

Maybe. Matters how many Imprezas I can buy, matters if they finally have the last version of the new Pontiac GTO with the hood scoops, etc and matters if I can finally buy a Dodge Magnum. We shall see!

well no game is gonna have all the cars in existence -.- i'd love to have a bunch of not so popular cars but i know it's not gonna happen

I'll be happy eitherway, I'm just hoping. They never seem to have them! Well other than the Imprezas, they always have them. I end up buying every single one each time.

Wow, I missed the story about NASCAR cars being smashable to tiny bits. This is a big news if you ask me. Bring on the crazy NASCAR crashes!

Nice edit! It's not my image though, originally from GTP.

Don't give a shit how many tracks we get because I always end up hating over 50% of them. Just want more cars.
Wow.

I assume 'Locations' is for stuff like Special Stage Route 5 vs Special Stage Route 11 (last . They count as one location, but each is their own track.

Again, 20 tracks doesn't make sense.

They won't have cancelled a game with 50+ tracks in favor of one with only 20.
Nor will they allow their little PSP game to have more content.

They look the same as always. Truthfully the Ring looks pretty ugly and dated in GT5.
looks fine to me, especially in gameplay videos. its not like you're going to fixate your eyes on the environment.

I agree, in motion the game looks breathtaking, trees included. It all comes together to make a very natural and lifelike look.

I see the Nurburgring GP circuit in that last scree. :D

(I know it's probably been announced already but it's one of my favourite tracks so I'm happy)

Wow at the new shots. Their lighting system is insane. Overcast/cloudy actually LOOKS like it.

Very nice smoke here too, although we already saw it in motion in the recent Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG video.

The GP and 24h layouts are going to be playable at the 24 hours of Nurburgring.
