Hey everyone...I really appreciate you guys refraining from linking to scans or putting up direct transcriptions. I know that's the official policy here, but I still appreciate it.

And thanks to those guys saying stuff along the lines of "for EGM's sake." Yeah, this leak majorly sucks for us. It affects how the companies work with us, affects how we'll get exclusives, hurts our newsstand sales (we count on those as a big part of our revenue).... We need exclusives to stay relevant in today's Internet world...and having this early printer leak only damages our business.

So I know I can't prevent the news from spreading...but those of you who are still going to read or buy the actual printed issue, thank you.

Here's the part I don't get. RR Donnelly was also printing Harry Potter at the exact same time. Why didn't the tard who leaked this, leak that Harry and Ron eat it, and that Hermione kills Voldemort?

You can, he partners with you all the time during coop. He is playable the same way Dom is playable in GeOW.

The word Shotgun is throwing everyone off. It will not be nearly as strong as the Shotgun. but is probably loud, single shot at a time, not accurate. LIKE a shotgun

I love the Arbiter character, and Uprising is probably my favourite level in Halo 2. Just yesterday I was playing on Legendary with 4 other Elites and a few Grunts following me and we were absolutely mauling the Brutes, especially the Zealot Elite as all he did was rush the Brutes with a sword. He got mauled by a Wraith later on though :lol

I'm at least glad I'll be able to play as him in co-op, I think many misunderstood his purpose in Halo 2 and he is probably the most thought out character in the games.

someone (gamepro?) estimated sandtrap to be roughly as long as valhala but about 4 times wider. not sure if thats accurate though, as it seems to me if that were the case, it would be wider then it is long

Without paying rediculous amounts of money, you could read it online by getting a Zinio subscription. I believe that link still gives you free issues.

He'll be fighting with MC in single player campaign. It has been confirmed based on the single player campaign demo shown to reporters at E3. It's not confirmed that he plays with you all the way through the campaign, but that's pretty much certain anyhow. Arbiter was in all the cut-scenes from the trailer except for the last one where chief was brooding over a glowing control panel.

You wouldn't need to anyway, EGM is the best games publication around even ignoring the Halo 3 blowout. Good things deserve to do well

Regardless of text. Your issue has TONS of pictures of never before seen stuff. I am definitely buying that issue, as will 90% of the people in this thread.


This leak is impressive though. Almost as impressive of some guy taking a picture of EVERY SINGLE PAGE of the new Harry Potter book and leaking it out. This franchise is powerful.

You guys need to have an unique key or cd on every magazine that unlocks exclusive content on 1up. The exclusive content needs to be scrape proof, download proof, and linking proof. However, if the magazine division is still profitable then there is no apparently need for such an investment.

I seem to be the only one who really loved Arbiter's levels in Halo 2. They were fantastic I thought. Especially Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone.

You're not the only one. Quarantine Zone is one of the levels I replay the most.

But this sucks for EGM. I can't wait to get my issue in the mail (It seems like the more I want the issue, the longer it takes for me to get it), and I like having the screens on paper in my hands, not blurry scans.

I suspect it will be a tiny fraction of your potential customer base who see these images before it hits newsstands. And when it does, "Halo 3 Campaign Stuffz" will move issues. I tracked down scans of the last Halo 3 cover story - then bought the issue when it came out and subscribed. I do hope at least some of the guys here who don't subscribe but who looked at the scans pick it up as well. (Heck, we get to read the text that way!)

Oh, and sound familiar? This is from the exact same kind of leak when OXM got the Halo 2 exclusive back in early May 2003.
