Has anyone compiled a list of Gamertags and the maps they have made? I'm seeing a bunch of cool remakes but then having to figure out who has made them and then add them and download it.

I think there's a pretty nice list on Reddit, but I don't know if it has ALL of the ones we've seen on GAF , but it definately has most and even some that haven't been seen here. lemme see if I can find it...

There are over 200 maps listed... I've varying quality of course... But it's well organized so it should be easy to find what you are looking for, and view pics/vids before you download the maps.

I gave Facing Worlds II a visual overhaul:

The map is set up for both Team Slayer and Capture The Flag. There are no other gametypes that will feasibly work on it. I really want to play test this soon! I'm loving this forge!

Awesome Ascension remake.

On another note, they should allow welding vehicles/weapons. I'd kill for the Falcon/Hornet as well.

Updated my map.

- Renamed it! As I said I did not like the original name, It is now called "Sacelium"
- Jump to Ring three has been "fixed" to be the correct hight on both ends
- Bases are now more color coordinated and detailed to look like they are part of the same group of buildings
- Map has more whales/pigs/soccer balls/dice!
- Detailed the lights a bit more
- Lowered Sniper clips to 1 extra [making it total of 8 shots every three minutes]
- Lowered Shotgun clip to max 1 [making it total of 6 shots every three minutes]

Managed to recover a previous map that had items perms locked to it. I added another item on top, used magnets and it let me group and then showed it locked. Unlocked and now I can edit the damn map!

I'm not really feeling the orange in the one you posted.

I dig the way Resivore makes the walls appear textured and I think it overal looks much cleaner for some reason.

All the minigames people are creating with the new forge and scripting, since we won't have a customs browser in 5 I hope they go full wacky gametypes with the Action Sack playlist.

okay guys, its later than I thought, I would have loved to have this during the day, but I think all 4 of my maps are ready for very limited alpha distribution, Im not going to advertise these versions. But for my fellow forum mates and the waves of lurkers that add me all the time, Im putting these out there for playtest and feedback purposes

Consider nothing in concrete, and no the Turf doors arent complete yet. Ive been dilly dallying and havent got around to finish them yet

For my remixes I wanted to keep alot of the originally geometry and just tweak the map to change how it plays, so dont expect radical changes, thats not what I was going for, I still wanted them to feel like the original.


Attempted to grab all the maps from this thread that are complete and/or posted their GT so I didn't have to do research on it. Someday, I'll get around to putting a better list together with GTs and map names... Today is not that day.

What the hell? It's been fine for weeks. I can indeed load it just fine, but does that mean I can't make any changes? Or save any new creations? Have 343 acknowledged the issue?
In my experience I was able to perform the Save function to overwrite, but could not Save As or create a copy. I also tried bookmarking the map and using my wife's account to try and forge it then Save As, but still, the same "save failed" would appear in the lower left.

Not sure what triggered the bug on my map, it worked fine for several long forging sessions then all of a sudden as I was approaching completion I could no longer save as, and the lobby can't "retrieve data." I suspect it has something to do with saving the map with multiple groups, or groups inside of groups... Or perhaps even scripts on grouped and welded objects being copied. Not sure what I did to trigger the bug.

Frustrating. Hopefully it's ironed out soon.

I know how great the tools will be when I'll be used to them, but right now I'm completely struggling with it, to the point that I had to stop today after an hour since I couldn't even do anything basic. Hmmm. I'm presuming it's stuff like crates that I've placed counting as movable objects. Easily solved I guess. Thanks for dropping the knowledge.

While holding Right Trigger for Rotate, you press L trigger to get the other axis

I've also noticed objects sometimes randomly change the axis you are modifying when moving them, so it's better to look away from the object so your cursor isn't highlighting it, then begin rotation

I have these 2 warthogs that are now stuck on my map, cannot select, cannot drive, but I can physically occupy them.

Anyone had this glitch?

If I cant get rid of them I will have to move the whole map...

Ive tried everything

Yup I suspected that, so I deleted all of my files. I have only 1 file on my file share and still can't save a copy. Also, all of my object limits are below max. Very strange bug.

This is awesome! I made a Facing Worlds map very similar to this in Halo 3.

I had a Morbias map too. I don't have Halo 5/Xbox One but I'm tempted to get it just to try and port all my Halo 3 maps over.

Whats the point of a canvas that big if most of it is just empty space? We don't get enough of an object limit to make a map that suits that size anyway.

It isn't a showstopper, personally, but it was nice being able to make super vertical drops and have teleporter-centric maps not have people on your radar in each room.

Its nice to see a more Urban feeling map. How it plays is the biggest factor. Looks like it could have an interesting flow but it does have some fairly long sightlines. Fire it up in the next customs!

If anyone is super, super bored. Add my GT and run around my new 2V2 Map "Skies and Lows" Trying to make an more open 2v2 Slayer map and I am learning about Weapon Placement and also map control based upon team movement.

As always, it has man-cannons. :D

Any feedback would be great.
 

I love this! It looks like a long-lost Halo PC map; specifically it feels a bit like Danger Canyon and Gephyrophobia with some Avalanche thrown in. Even the weapon placement feels really traditional. The CE-style Forerunner doors are a nice touch, too.

Someone already mentioned some of the long sightlines, but other than that it looks very well laid out; it strikes me as kind of an amalgam of ideas from Turf and Headlong, though overall the map also strikes me as having a lot of similarities to Daybreak, albeit with the Mantis replacing Rockets. Aesthetically speaking this also looks way better than Breakneck, imo, and strikes me as the sort of look something like Guillotine should have gone for. Very colorful.

Hi everybody. This is probably already known but there's a massive forgeable area outside of Empire. It has one of my favorite skyboxes.

With how easy it is to get out of the default maps, someone really needs to make canvases like how there were back in the Halo 3 days.

With the mobility of H5 unless I added some serious real estate that kind of mobility is always going to be possible. For now and the playtests we've done I haven't seen it cause too many problems as the flow seems primarily intact.

Good call on the lights I already fixed them this morning adding two spots to bottom mid to light up the ramps.

Also thank goodnness for finally exposing invisible blockers (bungie referred to them internally as nutblockers, heh) to us in Forge. You can finally make open top maps without having to make everything a box (H3) or canyon (so people didn't run into the kill boundary in Reach/4)
 
I want a forge playlist stat. So many cool creations i want to play, but i don't have time to search/browse for. I kind of want to be spoiled and things sorted/filtered to me. :p is that too much to ask for? :D

what is the forge budget like on a dev map like this? i imagine a decent chunk is already "used up"? would be awesome if 343 just starting releasing blank canvases for all developer maps.

Varies based on layout, sightlines, etc. Do you have any screenshots or layout pics?

One thing to consider is how the weapons work relative to the map elements made with Spartan Abilities in mind, too - something like The Rig is clearly designed with SAs in mind and as a result has a bunch of wiry branching paths, open-and-shut sightlines, tight corridors branching together larger areas, etc. that make the Plasmacaster and Scattershot very effective. On the other hand, a map like Fathom has a lot of very predictable, long, linear lines of sight that stretch across the majority of the map - meaning something like the Railgun is actually something teams will attempt to utilize as opposed to, say, an Energy Sword.

Id say all of which were around 3 hours

geometry really close to being feature complete, just need the interior of the center structure

(crates and other movable geo nonwithstanding)

edit:

I still am really mad, I had 2 warthogs glitched into my map and I cannot get rid of them, Im going to have to move the entire map if I cant get rid of them

they are A.) able to be entered by players B.) unable to move C.) non-selectable

fug. if I were to guess, Delete All Of These just runs a loop and deletes all objects with a certain tag, so the Forge data doesn't consider them warthogs anymore. :/

yeah thats the only conclusion I can come to also


Im just going to finish the map, and move the whole damn thing, I dont see any other option

I was able to move the map up over them luckily so they dont stick out, but its still not ideal, you can get in through the floor
