It should be okay. This is 343 focusing fully on one game. Not multiple companies working on one thing independently like MCC. And i'm sure 343 knows they can't afford to have something go wrong twice. I for one am very hype. Especially if the rumors of big team battle being "battlefield-like" are true. Can't wait to see gameplay of that.

It's not that literally anyone did, it's that an avatar of humanity did. You seem to be adding some meaning to the word "culmination." A child is the culmination of their parent's history and efforts. My point that you originally disagreed with was that viewing John's presence with holy reverence was missing one of the primary themes of the story.

Culmination: The end or the final result of something. What exactly am I adding that doesn't fit with what I've said? You may not like the holy analogy I made, but it still stands. The Master Chief appears to be, according to the writing, the specialist of the specials. That's what got him there, that's what made him the "avatar of humanity" over everyone else.

It didn't happen at any time before now, it wont be happening after. It's happening now, solely to the Master Chief. And it's because he's been elevated to a status higher than any other being in the universe past or present. The point still stands.

Pardon me if I laugh at the rhetorical effort you're putting into making the Master Chief's story tantamount to a religious one, considering the thematic elements of the series on religious framing.

I wonder how ONI are gonna convince everyone that John is a legit traitor. Surely he's done enough for humanity to earn the benefit of the doubt?

Maybe they have video/images of him shaking hands with Jul 'Mdama. lol
