Decided to give HaloGAF a visit to see how people are liking the news.
I was wishing (but not expecting) that MS would offer something that would make me buy... Xbox One (what a fucking stupid name) so that i could keep playing Halo.

I don't think 343 would ever relax their efforts depending on the console atmosphere.
So, even though I may not own a Halo console next gen, I do actually worry about the real danger in the franchise. A lot of people may laugh because "Halo iz ded lololol" but it really is a sad reality they could be facing when non-gamers are purchasing your console.

I will admit that I hope Kinect has severely improved over the original. The parents bought me a Kinect on the Xbox 360 and it didn't even work in my room because of lighting and the fact that my room is rather small. Would be frustrating to no ends if that hasn't been addressed.

I have a good feeling about Microsoft's presentation at E3, but it's going to have to be pretty good for me to consider getting the Xbox One over the PS4 at this point.

New Xbox looks interesting. I like the majority of stuff shown. The used game thing is bad but I don't buy games used for the most part. TV features seems nice but I'm worried how much will be usable outside the US.
Picture in Picture is a dated concept that never got much use, Kinect 2.0 seems like its only going to be useful for skype because I want to relax when I play games not jump around like a fucking dick. Xbox Porn is going to reach a whole new level now that you can skype and they all cum with kinect.
Halo TV series could go both ways, I'm interested just make it not shit.
Game wise Forza 5 looks like a pretty forza, New CoD will play like CoD and Fifa is Fifa. Solid franchises but nothing that wowed me. I kind of don't believe the sizzle reel from EA seemed a bit of a stretch.
Money permitting I'll buy both likely the PS4 first and the Xbox One when titles I want become available.
I hate how challenging watching TV is, Sometimes I have to hold a remote controller in my hand!

Never thought I'd say this but after today, there's a real chance I may not be playing the next Halo game day one.

Watching TV was so hard with backlit buttons that I had to read on a remote and channel numbers that I had to type in.
Now with Xbox One I can just speak any number of commands and without ever needing to repeat myself, even once in a large crowded room with hundreds of people around, the Xbox One knows exactly what I meant and will switch instantaneously. It even has psychic capabilities whereby it already knows what I want to watch so before I ask for a specific channel it tells my existing cable set top box to queue up that program. In this way the channel transition appears instantaneous but it essentially relies on rocket science types of magic to get it to work.

Is it confirmed to be tied ONLY to accounts? Or is it like the 360 and it's account AND device tied. IE: I can install DLC on my console and anyone can play there - and I can install it on another console and only my gamertag can access it on that device.

I think I'm still in denial about that horrible show. I'm glad the horrible news that came afterwards is getting cleared up, but still, damn, that show was horrible. Microsoft needs new speakers. Mattrick couldn't sell his way out of a paper bag.
Most of this stuff has been confirmed.
The only thing I didn't really appreciate was how they attempt to show a product demo while obviously having everything pre-recorded. If you're going to pre-record everything then don't try to "fake" it to make it look like you're watching everything live and actually doing a real Skype call.
Other than that the announcement was pretty much what they told us / what we all expected. Mostly entertainment, apps, Kinect, and connectivity. Games will come at E3 (probably with hands on demo time?)
It really was. Streched bulletinpoint that should have taken a minute tops, but spent 15 minutes droning on about it.
They should have done this: Console reveal, this is what it does and these are the new games. Good night.

Just as much as we "knew" about the PS4 and then the reveal shocked the world by going into specifics on hardware, focusing on a NEW feature set, and showing loads of games. I feel as far as expectations go, Sony went above and beyond, and Microsoft unfortunately fell flat below expectations showing a stale feature set and showing literally no games. Even the Ghost cutscenes they showed felt like the could almost be on a 360.

I feel slightly better. That was my only real problem. Now we just wait for the exclusives.
They have to, if they intend the console to be an entertaiment center for the whole family.
Otherwise they need some sort family account system.
Regardless, i'm not keen on XO (that seems the be the abbreviation for Xbox One). My entertaiment is gaming and reading almost exclusively. PS4 seems to be offering so much more for someone like me, minus Halo (going to miss it).

Is it fair to assume lead development for Destiny will be on the Xbox 360 / One? That might be one of the few things drawing me away from PS4.
Basically fits with my "However" comment. Completely agree.
It is multiplat, i can't see Bungie concentrating on one platform more, at the expense of the other.
EDIT besides, PS4 is seemingly more powerful, so Bungie will most likely take advantage of that. This is for the next-gen consoles of course... Dunno 'bout PS3/360.

BTB could maybe handle 32 players if it was bigger maps. But then the game has bigger maps which ruins every other mode.
There is no fucking way that was a typo when the article said: "for a fee".
Having that fixed would make it "for a free", either they're pack pedaling like hell or the writer of that article doesn't know to re-read an article before it goes live.
